Even if some teams flip-flop they should still throw the book at them for signing up to it in the first place.

When is the next cycle? I mean build the brands of the remaining clubs and drive the support of those teams and who knows. It seems too high but sports have a lot of value.Sky aint paying 9billion next cycle, put it that way.
I think I saw a 3/4 rule but how would that work when more than a quarter are the perpetrators haha.
FIFA's problem, though, is that the renegade league possibly kills international football. The clubs will devalue it further. They do not want players risking injury playing for national teams - and national federations in many smaller countries may not exist without UEFA's Champions League money to fund them. So FIFA will endanger their own World Cup to get a Club World Cup? Doubt it makes enough sense for them. Hence, everything points to a compromise.I just don’t see FIFA sticking with their stance.
considering they wanted to have a “World Club” every 4 years which was like a World Cup, I’d imagine this will completely suit their prerogative, especially if they can get 2-3 weeks in certain venues almost like a World Cup.
I get your point mate, we will almost certainly manage without them, but I feel as tho you are massively under playing the immediate impact, it would be a complete mess. And it wouldn't just affect the next cycle either, you think Sky are paying top dollar for a League that lost its 6 biggest attractions? When is the next cycle? I mean build the brands of the remaining clubs and drive the support of those teams and who knows. It seems too high but sports have a lot of value.
Just seen Klopp's post-match. Came off poorly. Naively thought he'd be more against it than that.
Neville has him rattled.
Well tbh the morality of the PL was no different, this is just next stage. Game was sold long ago.I also found it amusing that Carragher tried to throw us under the bus for pushing for a Premier League
Regardless of whether the morals were somewhat shady, it literally was done with the purpose of rebuilding English football after it was on its knees and gave teams a hope... Blackpool, Barnsley, Reading, Hull teams who in the last 30 years have been in the lower ranks of the football league, a chance (a slim one) of Champions League qualification.
Imagine if we franchised it, and stopped Huddersfield, Leeds, Sheffield United having a crack at the top flight, sides who have historically competed.
Yet he somehow tried to deflect blame from Liverpool’s owner pushing for franchises by throwing Everton out as a team pushing for the Premier League.
Uefa are against it, Fifa are against it, governments are against it, FA are against it, PL are against it, Fans are against it, pundits are against it, every club bar the twelve rat clubs are against it, this will not happen. Way too much opposition.
This is about who governs football though. It is an easy next step to see an attack on international football. Preventing players from playing international matches would suit them all very well.I just don’t see FIFA sticking with their stance.
