Imagine if it got to a point where they started moving teams to different countries like states in the NFL lol

That is absolutely on the agenda and probably and accepted working theory that these clubs understand.

Why would a club like Liverpool stay put at Anfield when they can play in in front of packed houses all around the world? The majority of the home support flies in or gets the train up from London as it is so their owners didn't give a toss about the local support.

I mean, I guess i'd argue is would they want to include a Boca or a Flamengo? Or is that diluting their selling power?

Surely they'll be wanting to target every corner of the world to conquer, surely it's not in their interests to have Boca grow as big as them, or Guangzhou and so on, if that makes sense?

They need an “in” to those markets though; only locally based clubs can offer that (given the competition from already existing leagues).

Franchise moves might deliver some of that, but offering Boca or Corinthians (or whoever) a seat too is only going to benefit them all.
