It's the market.

St Louis is a big place, with rich sporting history, but it's a small market. If you go to LA, it's all Rams, Lakers and Dodgers.... he's a businessman, and he's in my opinion the worst of the lot... Henry, Glazer? Not as bad as Kroenke, he will be having Arsenal playing all over the globe if he gets his way.

Actually, the problem is that it's a Cards town. The Rams were a transplanted team twice over - from Chicago to L.A., then from L.A. to St. Louis, that never was part of the fabric of the town the way the Cards, and to a lesser extent the Blues, are.

The Blues fans are the Toon Army, but with manners. Go into the section with a 24 ounce beer in each hand at the beginning of the first period. Go down at the end to visit the bathroom and refill each hand. Repeat after second period. No idea how they do it, other than a lot of practice.

The Cards fanbase is half us and half RS fans under the same umbrella.
