Champions League revamp

Offer the 6 clubs an olive branch.

Then set it on fire.
I was thinking more along the lines of the old carrot and stick method , the one one where you get a stick, shove it up their rrrs, followed by the carrot and then a bigger rougher stick. Let them know we mean business.

The only snag is that kicking them out now makes it hard to calculate the 'results' of the remaining games to be played.

Id rather not allow them to participate with immediate effect

Very tricky.

If give them a 100pt penalty each and a 5 year european ban.

Then they are relegated with no european games and 100% reliant on domestic football.

You would soon see a new 'big six' emerge in those 5 seasons.
If you give six clubs a 100 point penalty, wouldn't it still only be the bottom three of those that get relegated?? Three go down and three come up, or am I missing something here?

Even if the PL clubs let them off the hook - these six will be footballs pariahs for a very long time.
It will ultimately filter down to the pitch every matchday - chants of Scabs etc will ring out when they're in town.
Can't see Snowflake footballer 2021 taking this very well.

You reckon there’s a chance in HELL that they didn’t ask the reigning CL winners and beaten finalists, but did ask Tottenham and Atletico? (And Porto by all accounts!)

Yes, I do actually - what do they gain by inviting PSG?

They don’t need the French market (which is tiny and would be even less for this) and given Saudi-Qatari relations were in the gutter for most of the time this was being negotiated (though they are better now) there’d have been problems across the Middle East if a Qatari owned club was a member too.

Bayern could have been invited, but again they’ve got everything they need already.
