“Absolutely sickening that they get to take the moral high ground because of the rats that have infested our club”

No, really!

I know we don't like them, but at this time I'm separating the fans and players from the scheming and greedy owners, I think it's pretty damn clear the majority don't approve of this, and if at this time they wish to stand with all of us that disagree with this proposal they are welcome to.

The statement is great.

But it should be made clear (and I hope it is being done so, privately) that these sides should be punished to the highest order for trying to ruin 150 years of work, to satisfy their needs.

In ancient times, traitors were held with lowest grade and faced the biggest punishment, just make sure they know, they are not now, and never will be the bigger than any league, any other team.

They won’t throw them out the league, but lengthy European bans should be a minimum requirement.

do what a ruler of Persia did and skin them, then make the next owners sit in the chair made using the skin

That's another thing with this entire thing. European Super League is such a terrible name. Considering they're Americans, I expected more

Our corporate types have sucked at naming things for twenty years.

Now, I don't want to get off on a rant here, but we have Accenture and Allegiant and Ally and I'm still in the 'A's. We have the utter abomination of a name that is Truist. We should count ourselves lucky that the proud Founding Fathers of the ESL didn't butcher the language and try to wrangle some adjective connoting greatness into a noun, or try to one-up 'Premier League' with 'Pinnacle League' or some nonsense.

(In truth, if 'Pinnacle' wasn't associated with a golf ball that feels like a rock, flies like one shot out of a cannon and putts like one, that's probably what we'd have gotten.)

The days of iconic names like Lincoln Continental, Cadillac Eldorado, Chevrolet Corvette and Dodge Ram are long dead. Now we get names for the American market like Ford Fusion, Toyota Prius and, God help us, Hyundai Equus.

I get it, you want me to think of horsepower. You couldn't find a better way to do that than a Latin loan word that is the only word I can think of in the entire English language that jams a 'q' and two 'u's together? My eyes hurt just looking at it.

And with that, I think I'm going to get off George Carlin's language soapbox. That's just my opinion. I could be wrong.

Taunted earlier by a Kopite that we will have no need for a new stadium as ‘Port Vale and Grimsby don’t bring many fans. Enjoy Portman Road’.

They ended the conversation with ‘survival of the fittest has always been the way’.

I didn’t even know them, I was just stood in the queue and they saw the badge on my t-shirt.

Ashamed of nothing.

Why don't you go post what I said a few pages ago over there about the differences between us.

It runs a whole lot deeper than that.

Perez saying that interest in football is declining because of the lack of quality.

He might be right, but that's because wealth is consolidated in a few clubs and the standard outside of these clubs is declining. The way to make footy more exciting is to even it out so every game is a bit more level. Not re-consolidate in an ESL. Mug

as things stand I think they have more chance of an iminent league fixture at Ipswich or Grimsby
