Probably - dont know what it would mean for us as he was sponsering FF when he was involved in Arsenal anyway.

Hopefully with a naming rights on BMD / the political climate against him and a few oligarchs he decides to keep a low profile.

Usmanov is not buying Arsenal minus their Champions League money. That was the only reason he wanted to buy them.

What was the big statement from Klopp???? WTF

Words from elite members have been outstanding'

The house has finally fallen. We've been waiting for this to happen. Last night was a big statement from Jurgen Klopp, James Milner, Patrick Bamford and Marcelo Bielsa was outstanding. Then we wanted a bigger reaction today and we got it. When we go to Pep Guardiola and his love of competition, being able to be relegated, win things, that's what sport’s about. Words from our elite members of our beloved game have been outstanding.
It's just shown the power of what the fans are to the game. How can we even think the fans aren't important after the season we've just had? There has been zero atmosphere and the quality of the game has dropped. Now we’re starting to see it all unravel and it’s great to see.

This would explain why Real are so desperate to get this done .
If they are on the brink , the directors are all liable to each pay five percent of the debt out of their own money . I think , I only got a C in GCSE economics .

IIRC they all have to front it, so the money's at least partly already there to cover it.

Not sure if that's on a rolling basis, but I seem to have a dim memory of Perez et al having to stump up more coin relatively recently.

I think you may be right but I'm hoping Mosh's experience makes him think otherwise .

No.

The players didn’t ask for wages to explode in the way they have.
The supporters, or certainly the decent ones are not behind this, and I’m not sure how having greedy owners has seen fans be entitled
Man Utd have been the most entitled for 30 years... yet it took greedy owners to try pull a stunt like this.
A culture of entitlement has been built in those club's supporters for decades. It is only natural that their owners try to capitalize on it. It isn't a surprise that they did it.

Most of these players were likely solely arsed over not playing internationals and not having bonuses for this new competition in their existing contracts.

A minority of their support are in favour of this. I'm not going to lose any sleep over whatever punishment they face. As others said, where was the uproar when the reds got us banned from Europe after Heysel.

Thank you for the explanation . I find Spanish football politics fascinating . Utterly baffling but fascinating.
