Welcoming the scabs back is like welcoming your cheating missus back after a 9 month affair.

In both cases, they have no consideration or respect for you, are willing to destroy you financially and set their future up at your expense.

They don’t deserve applause, they deserve contempt and sanctions.

Sorry, I can’t agree with you at all.
Are the fans entitled? Yes, 100%

Is that linked to why 12 clubs tried to create a breakaway league without their permission? Absolutely not.

Infact, I’d argue the fans showed they’re not entitled, by standing up for it, and being so damning about it.

Not old enough for Heysel, and I agree that they deserve the highest form of punishment. But let’s not dredge up the past. The reality is this falls solely with the owners trying to fleece the sport of more money.
It is linked to it.

Why do you think they thought they would get away with it??? They knew a large chunk of their "future fans" don't give a toss and only care about being the best. They're the ones they were catering to with this.

Thank you for the explanation . I find Spanish football politics fascinating . Utterly baffling but fascinating.

It's standard public choice stuff.

The secret is understanding the basic cycling problem - an issue as simple as three options with three voters can result in an absolute inability to make a decision if the preferences are structured right.

Once you grasp that, and realize that it flat out does not have to make sense because it structurally can't, the rest is much easier to swallow. Know the players, the preferences and the rules, and it's usually pretty easy to see where things are going even when the result is utterly bereft of logic.

I'm torn here . They should be punished but they really have played well this season and although they acted rashly , their fans were totally against this ( far more than both of the red fans ) and they were the first officially to break ranks.
However , they did follow where the others were going without a whimper . Maybe a ban next season would be ideal .
Throw the book at the other 4 who are crapping themselves right now . Maybe not Spurs . They are punished enough by everyone just laughing at the inclusion at the start .

Bayern and PSG deserve the plaudits, none of the scabby 6 should ever be allowed to forget

The cynic in me wonders if this has been orchestrated so that those involved can squeeze more money from the league/champions league and that they were never really going to go through with it.
