The house has finally fallen. We've been waiting for this to happen. Last night was a big statement from Jurgen Klopp, James Milner, Patrick Bamford and Marcelo Bielsa was outstanding. It's just shown the power of what the fans are to the game. How can we even think the fans aren't important after the season we've just had? There has been zero atmosphere and the quality of the game has dropped. Now we’re starting to see it all unravel and it’s great to see.

They are trying to whitewash it now. Trying to make out they haven’t all been complicit. All this did was make the existing cabal, the one they’ve tried to maintain for the last 25 years, explicit.

A culture of entitlement has been built in those club's supporters for decades. It is only natural that their owners try to capitalize on it. It isn't a surprise that they did it.

Most of these players were likely solely arsed over not playing internationals and not having bonuses for this new competition in their existing contracts.

A minority of their support are in favour of this. I'm not going to lose any sleep over whatever punishment they face. As others said, where was the uproar when the reds got us banned from Europe after Heysel.

Is that linked to why 12 clubs tried to create a breakaway league without their permission? Absolutely not.

Infact, I’d argue the fans showed they’re not entitled, by standing up for it, and being so damning about it.

No matter what happens here the dealings of these 12 clubs should not be forgotten by everybody and not just brushed under the carpet like the uefa boss appears to want to do by praising city for pulling out. This needs to be remembered and changes made so that it cant happen again.

What pisses me off is that I realize none of these clubs will get a proper punishment for this. The league's golden boys will probably be welcomed back with open arms as if nothing ever happened. And no, I don't consider fines proper punishment. Neither is 3 points deducted. Only relegation is good enough.

Why is everyone congratulating City and Chelsea for withdrawing.
