Champions League revamp

Problem with that is the useful idiot syndrome of some who enjoy a sycophantic relationship with some of the 6, Newcastle for example.
However, if you are looking for a punishment for these 6 clubs that hurts the owners and not the fans, players etc, how about removing the voting rights of the 6 for the next decade.

Spot on - the flip of course is some will not vote with top 6 on principle either, even if an idea makes sense for everyone.

The 5 subs for this year only a perfect example of that

For all of the media’s uproar towards this, they’ve played a massive part by constantly pandering to these “big clubs” for years who are only “big” because they all have wealthy owners, not because they’re some Devine entity.

Man City owe all their success to money.

Chelsea owe all their success to money.

Tottenham.

Liverpool owe all their success to money.

Man Utd owe all their success to money.

Arsenal owe all their success to money.

lol

Koeman has come out and gave a very dubious interview.
“changes needed” etc..
Tried to link it earlier from bbc website but it wouldn’t work.
Better from Piqué: “From a player’s point of view, I would say it’s not a positive decision for football in the long-term. Do we want this for football? That Sevilla, Valencia, Everton, Leicester, Napoli etc disappear? Because those clubs are, moving forward, going to be worth nothing"

Has it gone quiet? i think i've been in the world football forum more in the last 72hrs more than i have the whole time i have been here.

I'm getting a nose bleed.
Popped out into the Everton forum for 5 mins Just to post on the board statement.. haven’t been in the fit birds thread for 3 days! Need to have a word with myself

It didn't make sense to everyone.

How is 5 subs with our bench full of keepers and youth players going to help us and other clubs with squads as thin as ours?

Fair enough, perhaps not everyone, but it made sense to every single other league across Europe to the best of my knowledge.

There is a reasonable argument that the 5 subs earlier in the season would mean we wouldn't have had 10 players out on Friday night.

And whether right or wrong isnt really the point, the point is a reasonable suggestion wasn't considered because it was proposed by members of the "No longer big 6" & as such was killed. We now have a PL season with over 20% more soft tissue injuries than previous and teams struggling to field teams and fill benches

Well you have decided it is reasonable but the clubs voting against it said it wasn't.

It was rejected because it didn't benefit the other clubs anywhere near as much as it did those 6. That's reasonable and not just because they proposed it.
