Champions League revamp

Well what did he mean by it then?

Thats the only change I'm reading that they are all backing today.
I listened to it live, he was saying (at least my interpretation) is that the media declaring fan victory was a smokescreen. That fans shouldn't treat it as a victory because the possibility is still there and relying on owners to self govern and government to 'do the right thing' is not enough. Fans should boycott the clubs. He was calling out Sky, Talksport alongside his other comments

Champs League *NEEDS* to crucify these teams , lest they just hatch another scheme in the future. Domestics leagues were only partially threatened and should act sternly, but Champs League absolutely need to make a statement.

UEFA have already said Welcome back - delighted to have you

So he doesn't trust the owners. The change he is talking about their is changing the ownership of LFC not changing the UEFA rules in the interest of fairness across the game.

Like the rest of these LFC talking heads they do not care about anyone else.

He wasn't just talking about Liverpool, he was talking about all of football.

Koeman has come out and gave a very dubious interview.
“changes needed” etc..
Tried to link it earlier from bbc website but it wouldn’t work.

Nah, nothing dubious - I am not a proponent of him as coach but he gave great feedback, IMHO

"The European Super League? I spoke with the President yesterday about this issue and he explained me the position of the club. But there's been a lot of movement since yesterday, so I think it's better not to comment. I'm not the spokesperson of the club. I don't know how this topic will end. At the end of the day, we want the best for the club."

"I don't want to speak a lot about this issue but I'm in agreement with Pique's tweet." [Gerard Pique tweet - Football belongs to the fans. Today more than ever.]

"We've been talking about a possible European competition for a long time. In the Netherlands there is also talk of having a joint championship between the Netherlands and Belgium. It's complicated. There are many things in football that don't have to be changed."

"I agree what Pep said about the numbers of games. It's unbelievable. UEFA aren't listening to the managers and players about the number of games. For UEFA money is the most important thing. You have to protect the players."

He wasn't just talking about Liverpool, he was talking about all of football.
If they were actually that arsed about it then you would have heard it from them before this week.

They were all happy with FSG buying expensive players and a new stand.

Where were the shouts for 50+1 from these ex LFC players when they were winning the league?

Now because they're fuming with their owners again they're turning this into an all of football issue. They didn't care about all of football and other bad owners a month ago.

Dock all six of them 40 points each so that three are guaranteed to be relegated.
It would make next season really interesting and, the following season the 20 premier league teams can reset the voting mechanism whereby a 75% majority is needed.

Within a couple of seasons, though, the Scab 6 would be back in the Premier League and needing a 75% majority would only make it easier for them to act as a voting bloc to veto anything they don't like. I'd rather go with a simple majority, 11 teams. That would in most cases take care of any of the other 14 too scared to stand up to the Scab 6.
