Can see us following suit. Just gives them the opportunity to plan better and succeed next time. They literally nearly killed football as we know it

So if I plan a murder with a bunch of pals, announce to the world details of my plans, only to bottle it because of the backlash from people, I think I am still going to be in a lot of trouble, along with my friends. Or should I get off without any punishment because I didn’t do it?

I don't know the Italian league rules. They may not have broken any there by signing up. Maybe there's is more specific to if they actually play a game.

Getting real sick of this "punish the individuals and not the fans" ok lets stop red cards cause you know a team with only 10 men is unfair on the fans because they have a lesser chance of winning the game..

Lets not punish the fans when a club breaks ffp rules cause you know its not fair the owners spent all that money..

Lets not punish the fans when a club goes bankrupt because of how poorly the owners have run the club..

Lets not punish the family of a murderer because by him going to prison is depriving the family of this person..

i could go on, where do you draw the line?

You can't separate the owners from the "club and fans" just because they have done something wrong yet on the other hand when the owners do good things.. as the Fifa President said.. you are either in or you are out..

Its pathetic

It's quite telling to see the different reactions from different countries.

Italy: No punishment. You can't sanction an idea.
Spain: Meh.
England: Disgusting greed - but don't punish the players.
Germany: Over our dead fuc*'ng bodies.

The "wink and nod" culture of Italy in full view. The apathy of Spain. The empty platitudes of England. The cast iron rules of Germany.

If it weren't for German fan culture, you'd all be speaking SuperLeague.

As crap as that is, purely on this issue, without the government backing, the FA's threat wouldn't have worked as well as it did.

Make no mistake. The owners of the PL clubs were not expecting this reaction from the government - whatever reasons these cowards have for doing this.

This is from AS.

"The government contacted the English clubs in a call. We cannot legally prevent this competition, but we can approve a very tough tax on luxury and above all, thanks to Brexit, greatly complicate the procedures for residence permits for foreign footballers."

Real blood thirsty bunch in here, hell bent on vengeance. Im mean come on Ed Woodward has gone. Dave from accounting has had his Zoom priveleges restricted and Sharon from HR has had a stern email.
What more do you want?
