"Well thats just slimy"

I'm told "on the circuit" that John Henry is very socially awkward. I know people in investing/trading circles who think very highly of him as an investor, but say he's a really weird, uncharismatic bloke. That video sort of summed it up. Very little charisma, and seemed to be struggling to speak. He actually looks a bit frail.

Their arguement (Real, Barca, Liverpool, Italian clubs & Man United) would be that they cant when they are trying to compete with Arab states and Oligarchs.

It's hypocrisy of the highest order, but that's their party line & the catalyst for Superleague in many ways
Thing is, Liverpool and United coul ally themselves with the 14 to push through a raft of PL proposals to nullify the money of Chelsea and City. Sure it would also take some of the small power they have but it would restore the power balance to a mid 90s level.
They however think they can have their cake and eat it.

The thing is with this, and I mean I am taking as red it is an immoral and in truth unworkable/unfeasible idea, but any moral highground you take is sort of lost when you invite Manchester City in. Not just that aspect, but there's loads of open goals like that, where I think, this is a fundamentally poor idea, but presented awfully.

If you have crafted a narrative that City are this awful team, UEFA haven't punished them and so they've been driven to have to break away due to the corruption in the game, but you will invite Manchester City along for it anyway. You're just sort of flabbergasted as in one swoop you have just shown everything you've ever said about FFP, City, fairness etc is gone out of the window and was a bunch of lies, because you're willing to plot with them.

It's going to be really hard with them, to put any kind of line to UEFA now that they have to sanction those teams out of principle, the principle that the integrity of the competition has to come over City's (and PSG's money) when they wanted both in their Super League.

The trouble with penalising the six to the point that they won't be able to win trophies for some time is that the clubs who do win them will have
an asterisk against their name.

Ah well, I can live with that.

On a more serious note, I don't want to see the demise of clubs like Real and Barca if the financial impact and any penalties incurred of this debacle brought
this about.

By that logic every trophy City and Chelsea have won should have an asterisk, as they've won by financial doping to the point other teams couldn't win.

100% agree - I think we are both aligned there are no morals in football & certainly not with the top 6 or UEFA hypocrisy.

I think they (UEFA and the obvious clubs) have played ever card they could to leverage FFP & that is dead. So as soon as they lost that battle the jump into bed with them. They are a bunch of hypocrites, everyone of them & for Man City to go to CAS while having these discussions with Real and co is just incredible when you sit back and think about it

I really struggle to see how that would work? If it was something like a wage cap as % of turnover etc; there are too many of the 14 that simple wont go for it.
