That's an insult to Evertonian's that we sell our best players and replace them with ****e hawk's like big Denis , they then tell us the money's not gone to the banks , the day after Moyes says the money 's tight and we get linked with this fella for less than a million , I'd rather we didn't sign anyone than him , he ain't good enough for EFC , Landon Donavon is the only person playing in that MLS ****e I'd even consider and even he'd be touch and go and he'd cost ya 6 plus million
yes there is some good talent in the MLS but saying that there are mostly gash players there
Bring back Cody Arnoux!!!!
That's all I need to say!
Sack Moyes get Klinsman in an rename ourselves Everton USA or US EFC or something.
Fed up of us training yanks but not taking advantage of the market over there. Ok we aint the biggest team but their 2 biggest players adore us!!!!!
That guy couldn't even start for his team. RSL is a decent team though.
Clashing heads with every player he tries to coach. He's the type. It's hard to get along with him. Peterlin is in a lower English league. I never really paid attention to him.How about Peterlin?
That doin anything for ya?
Where's Preki when ya need him!
Really don't understand some of the comments here.
For those who are saying:
'He's gash'
'Not good enough for Everton'
'We can do better'
I would ask, who do you propose we sign ? We're skint, and our current striking options consist of two donkeys, a greek lad, and a 33 year old who can barely walk.
Post-accident Charlie isn't good enough, sorry to say. The track he was on would definitely gotten him interest from a club like Everton, but I don't think it's realistic at this point.
As far as the Beckham stuff, he wasn't player of the year. And while I realize Italian football isn't what it once was, if he could play for Milan last year, he can play for Everton.
Can't see him ever getting back to that speed and speed was his main weapon.
One leg is now shorter than the other, FFS. He had to relearn how to walk, let alone run, given the changes to his body.
That said, he's just now past the 2 year mark from the accident with only 6-7 months of limited playing time. The next 6-12 months of actual playing time will be the true test of how much he can/has gained back or new skills he can/has developed.
I think he's worth the risk for some team.... just not sure it's Everton.
I really do not think Davies is the answer for a striker that we need. Remember he is quick and can finish. He cannot hold the ball up well and not sure how much better he will get.
Quit the Beckham talk and using that as a barometer of the MLS. Beckham is a world class distributor of the ball from Mid field. Two different players. Xavi shut your mouth about using Beckham as the gauge for players in the MLS.
That being said I would not spend the little money we have on Davies.
Holy mcmolies.
Based on his current form I also don't think he'd be our best option. However, if he's dirt cheap, and we can't get anyone else for dirt cheap, might be worth a look just as another option. Personally, if you had to ask me for a call, I'd also pass.
Though I like the idea of having him come in right now for a trial - can't we do that and take a look? MLS offseason and all.
More Americans?!?!?! We wouldn't know what to do with ourselves!
Finally - LD and Davies had a GREAT partnership going before Davies' car crash. The two of them worked extremely well together and their speed together was spectacular. With Davies having lost that speed, not quite sure how that would work now. But their partnership was indeed stellar:

this is pure rubbish... he's not even close to being good enough for the Prem
next
Hear ya. Just think Davies might add "lame duck" to that list based on what form we saw of him in MLS this year. IF, and it's a giant IF he can reclaim some of his old self he could be good. Wish we could see him on trial.
You do realize there are multiple MLS players that bigger teams than us are scouting, right?
