Charlton Athletic - Under threat?

That's right. I remember at the time there was some regret from your fans that he didn't stay. When your new manager came in I think.
Our so called Interim Manager was requested to get rid of him, as fans we were really unhappy about this. I don't think we will be borrowing players from Everton again in a hurry, as our owner dealt with it very unprofessionally

Used to live in woolwich and charlton were my local side when I was there. I didn't go and see the, because I didn't want to bump into Jim Davidson nik nik

Horrible racist carnt

Hi All,

I have joined GOT for a bit of fun, but also because I am really worried about the future of my club.
Some of you may be aware of our situation, but if not I will give you a quick outline.

In January 2014 we were bought by a Belgian entrepreneur. Initially things looked good but after chopping and changing managers several times the team and club are in a real state now. The owners are unwilling to spend money on a manager with championship experience or back them up. The owners have put a supposed chairwoman in place who has very little idea how to run a football club and has a shocking attitude to the concerns of fans. We've got no chief scout or director of football, an interim manager who we'd already sacked as assistant manager once. The only players we've brought in are from the network of clubs also under our owners control who are all rotten, so have had to play our raw youth talent who are not yet ready for Championship football.
Katie Mere our chief executive has stated we will be developing the youth players then selling them on as a business model. We think this approach is damaging our academy players and the club is rooted to bottom of the league and relegation looks a certainty.

Like Everton, Charlton is very much a community club with a long history of serving local fans, but our future under this regime looks bleak.

Today we have organised our biggest protest yet to start before the game at 2.30 and afterwards at half five. The hope is that the owner and executives will get the message that the fans want our club back!

Nick Miller's article today gives an overview of how the owner is ruining the club

and this is another really good article https://medium.com/@ https://medium.com/@darryl1974/how-roland-duchâtelet-and-katrien-meire-are-killing-charlton-athletic-dc8a9ed7e91c#.j1kebfxkv

Lots of fans from other clubs and footballers are behind us, so I hope you don't mind me coming on here and moaning but Ste said you're a good bunch and we need all the support we can get. If you want to follow what's happening you can search on twitter for #WeWantOurClubBack

Thanks Toffees and good luck for the rest of the season!

kick em as hard as you can where it hurts mate

Hi,
Jim Davidson is very much hated at CAFC, he has a season ticket and sits in our so called directors box..
Has not supported any of the protests against our Belgium regime.
Nasty piece of work, shame he comes from Plumstead.
