Got a feeling we'll win this as there is no pressure on us and it doesn't matter what the outcome is for us. Would be very Everton I think

Without sounding like a evertons version of 'Rain man' - I can remember Saturday the 26th of November quite clearly (last league win at the bridge) - I had just started a new job, Joe Royle had got us off the bottom with that famous derby win.
The strange thing is winning at Stamford bridge back then wasn't an achievment to be fair - pre Guillt chelsea where very a ordinary team.
What odds 18 years without a win there back then ??? - Now they are unconvincing masters of europe for a few days more...
and we have a chance to make history - beat simultaneous holders of the European Cup/ Uefa Cup.

Although Gavin Peacock, Craig Burley and jon Spencer *shudders* won't be playing tomorrow - I have a sneaky feeling we will do it.

..Feel free to bump this when we get bummed 3-0 :P

I only came here because Bluekipper collapsed and this looked like the best of the others - after a bit of searching.

I got it right and one of the reasons is your match previews, Chico, so thanks.

Now, about this match. I've been waiting for Chelsea to fall apart under the pressure of a tough run in, but it's not happening. Probably because they've got a squad that only the very wealthy can put together.

Our record there isn't all that bad, really. It's a bit like our record at Anfield. No actual wins - apart from that penalty shoot out at SB - but more draws than losses.

Looking at our run in a few weeks ago, we had Spurs, Arsenal, L'pool and Chelsea away. Well, we haven't lost any of them, so far.

That's the only positive I can find because, unfortunately, Chelsea do have something to play for. So, it's fingers crossed and hope for the best, that's all.

...love the old pics. I've been impressed with Chelsea of late and reckon they will mount a serious challenge next year. This is such a difficult one to call. I reckon there will be goals, we are a big price but on the downside Tony Cascarino has tipped us up in this mornings Racing Post. I'd just like to win but eyes are already focusing on next season.
Bragging rights at least in the boozer for the next few months, thanks Blues.

Congrats chics on a superb season of reviews, i dont know hiw you keep it up, great effort. On the plus side, now the season is over you can reserve the time you spent looking for them brilliant, to googling local bars in exotic locations, all the best mate

Thanks Chico for some great laughs this season. Aside from your very funny descriptions of our opposition and your brilliant analogies (e.g. girl alone on the dancefloor), I always enjoy the vintage pics as I'm old enough to have been at some of the games. Champagne moment from this season: can't remember which preview it was but I think you had a torn up page 37 from Razzle blowing in the gutter at one away ground.....inspired. If Everton can play without fear as they did last week, we could outplay this lot. So 2-0 to Chelsea then.

We can beat these.

We won't though obviously.

Nice one Chico.

Thanks for doing these all season. It's a hard graft. Doesn't it seem ages ago I did those 2 terrible league cup one? Mad.

8-0 Everton

My team just got Bummed 5-0.

My Eels just got Bummed by the Cheaty Dragons.

Im predicting a Bumming.

3-0 or maybe even 4.

I haven't really given this game a second thought. I will go for 2-2 based on nothing because I'm not really that bothered.
i have the manager situation on my mind.

nice one Chico, I look forward to all the pre season games!!!!!

very enjoyable read that. The only reason I'm worried about us is because baines and fellaini might go. If they stayed than I would be as optimistic as I was coming into this season (which was very, ftr). We should just force everyone to stay regardless of whether they categorically state they want to go.

We can only improve from this season if everyone stays.

Well done for getting through a whole season of very readable previews.

Not sure what to expect really. Neither manager has reason to be cautious, but both are known bores so will probably keep things tight.
