Do you not see the problem with that post? We've gone from comparing our results with utd, spurs and arsenal to using hull, villa and burnley.

The fact is that 2 wins in 16 games is simply not good enough.

I was responding to someone's post who said we are in a relegation battle with those teams, I was pointing out our form is getting better after a disaster of a month in December and those teams are bouncing from one defeat to the next

So no I don't see anything wrong with the post

I thought Barry's first yellow was for a very soft challenge. The ref was handing Chelsea free kicks for falling over and Everton yellows for being too close to a Chelsea player. Chelsea harrassment of the ref at the end was a disgrace. But looking on the bright side, considering most people thought we would get murdered and would have settled for a draw, we only dropped 1 point.
he threw himself like a torpedo into someone

In fairness. It's just a point. I don't think it's going to matter too much in this season. The performance was more important.

"just a point"

And whst about the "confidence" and "momentum" we were putting forward in justification of the anti football we played in the derby?

That was a much better display tonight but I am sure I am not alone in being totslly deflated by the loss of that point.

The ball is a hot potato, he can't get rid of it quick enough, it saddens me it really does. The kid has all the ability in the world but he has to sacrifice that ability for the good of the team.

Well I for one wish he would just do his thing because as a footballer he excites me, as just one of the team he fades.
It's not just that. Physically he looks slow. That burst of acceleration that all top players and especially dribblers have. I haven't wanted to say it but it's worrying me.

..... and would have seen the manager shown the door at any other PL club.

Good man. Totally with you !

Lennon, Coleman, Barkley were amazing- maybe if we played Lennon, Barkley, and Mirallas instead of Naismith, we may have had better offensive threats. Despite the loss, i feel proud- we were in it to the end, and i think we're getting our form back. TBH, i wouldnt give half a [Poor language removed] if Martinez got us to 40 points, then focused completely on Europa League- because this season is over for me. But great battle by the boys of Merseyside, and whats the deal with two late goals at Stamford Bridge two years in a row????

Any kind of result for us would of been a bonus but at times we had everybody behind the ball and it wasn't nice to see. It's all good and well defending really well for so long but if you aren't offering anything at the other end the ball is just going to keep coming back.

We got badly boxed it at the end, flooded our own box and in the end we've been beaten by a deflection.

To be honest I preferred it last year when we attacked other teams away from home. We might of fell short in the end but I tell you what it was some of the best stuff I've seen us play in years.
I think that's the sad thing. We are playing like a small team again. We just don't have the same attack as we did last year.

6-1 on aggregate. We hardly lucked out did we.

I love how people still think we got battered in that first leg. FFS we went 3-0 up then sat off, got the kettle on, had a cuppa while they came at us a bit and had a few shots. Then we brushed ourselves down, Mirallas fancied himself a goal so he casually got one, then they scored a worldie free kick last minute.

Some people are really weird.

the most frustrating this is we're literally only one or two players away from being a top team again.
also; food for thought - why does the FA not employ a rule where if a player faces retrospective action then they miss the next two games and then the next one against the team they were against
