With link up play like we saw in that second half, and a decent striker in January, we defo shouldn't relegated.

On the bright side.

Not at all Joe.

If the team had given us something, anything at 0-0, or we'd lined up in anything other than the tired, dismal 4-3-3 that hasn't worked all season, I'd have been understanding.

But McCarthy? Williams? Jagielka? 4-3-3? Long ball to Lennon? What were we hoping for?
Cant remember it being 4 3 3 at any time this season mate.
Apart from a few disasterous 5 at the back games its been the same old 4 2 3 1.
They worked out well like !

We had 4 shots on target Duals. 4.

I'm not saying everyone is like that. I'm saying it's mad that ANYONE can think that.
Mate there's a guy out there who probably think David Moyes is our lord and saviour, should I go find him on twitter and his borderline braindead comment and put him out here and circle my whole argument around him too?

4 shots on target Orly. 4.

To their 3.

And 13 overall. Remember when we had 13 shots under Koeman this season? Against *ANYONE*, and we've played some crap? How can you not see that people are excited because it's an actual good sign, that we can attack again, that we can perhaps achieve the impossible - win a football match?

We were the better team second half, created the better chances and deserved to go to extra time at the least. Even radio 5 (who are meant to be impartial) said we didn't get what we deserved tonight.

I said we should have prob got an equaliser though mate and we didn't without that winning is always out of touch. If we would have it could have been a different result and at 1-0 we were the team who looked like scoring next, I'm not knocking being positive but that's how I see it.

Orly, mate, agree it's not evidence of a brilliant new dawn for us but it's nowhere near as bad as you're making out. We were unlucky in the second half, you can say Chelsea B (remember we started with Kenny, Davies and Baningime) took their foot off the gas but I'm not sure that's entirely true. Let us have the ball and looked to hit us on the break yes, but forced 4 decent saves from the keeper, Lookman just off target with 2.

Some poor defending from Davies and Kenny and a great finish from Willian inevitably undone us, and tbf for how bad we were ion the first half you might argue we deserved what we got. But, still it's hard not to at least see some positives from that game.

At the very least, it's hopefully some lessons learned for Unsworth going into the weekend.

Obviously, we don’t know what goes on in training. Who thinks they’re billy big bollox etc.., but that was some odd selection.

How can Mirallas & Lennon be ahead of Vlasic & Lookman?
Sigurdsson hasn’t set the world alight, but McCarthy???
Keane ditto, but I wouldn’t have dropped him for Williams.

That was a 60% reserve side. We could have done better.

Last 3 games vs Chelsea. Manager: Koeman.

Just as an example, we had 12 shots against Arsenal, 3 on target.

13 against Brighton, 6 on target

16 against Lyon, 5 on target.

Can you now see what I'm getting at?

you're saying it as if he'd retired
Soz not meant that way because I think he has a future with us..just worried that the defenders around him do not give him the confidence to play as we know he can...I am sure his time will come but would hate to see him playing in a consistently losing side..probably shows how much we miss Seamus..JK will be an admirable back up for him when he returns...hopefully Unsworth knows how to keep his confidence up..

Perhaps Rhino wanted the lads to build fitness as he wants to rotate... is my guess really.
