We had a good 45 mins in the game after they'd scored and were winning we prob should have had an equaliser but failed to get one and they changed it and went 2-0 up and finished the game then we scored. we never looked like winning at any point but it wasn't too bad overall considering the opposition tonight.
That should be the match report.

Probably because they go to the games and have seen about 1 shot on goal in the last month, and we had, what, 20 today?

Also you're taking a random bloke on twitter and assuming every Evertonian except you is like that. Excessive need for WUMmery, frandel.

We had 4 shots on target Duals. 4.

I'm not saying everyone is like that. I'm saying it's mad that ANYONE can think that.

Not at all Joe.

If the team had given us something, anything at 0-0, or we'd lined up in anything other than the tired, dismal 4-3-3 that hasn't worked all season, I'd have been understanding.

But McCarthy? Williams? Jagielka? 4-3-3? Long ball to Lennon? What were we hoping for?
A draw plus pens better than a 3- 0 defeat!

We were the better team second half, created the better chances and deserved to go to extra time at the least. Even radio 5 (who are meant to be impartial) said we didn't get what we deserved tonight.

C'mon if people seriously cannot see improvement between the games this season under Koeman and tonight's performance i'm not sure what they have been watching. Yes we still lost but at least there was fight, hunger and some actual attacking play in that second half. There were foundations to build from. The young lad in CM looked a decent prospect, as did the rest of the midfield, actually looking to go forward for once. I thought Lennon put a shift in, quickly followed by Lookman adding some smart touches. Yes our defence is dodgy, we desperately need a CH and a forward come January 01st but we looked more like a unit this evening than i have seen for months.

6 points needed from next 2 prem games..... otherwise we are in deeper doo doos...hope DU can inspire the team to do that..Williams and Jags should be nowhere near that team..selection of the former was baffling to say the least..why wasn't Keane playing ? Kenny never lived up to his hype. Its a start however and you just cannot blame a guy who has been in charge for such a short time....Wish him all the luck for sunday..Do it Mr Unsworth !!

you're saying it as if he'd retired

Thing is mate - that's not true at all. I've said before; don't give him it temporarily, give it him now. Otherwise we get this stupid situation we are in now, where everyone is getting misty eyed over effort, 'dogs of war' and nice words in a press conference rather than looking at it coldly; we lost (again) and we are out of a cup (again) and Unsworth said we need to win, and we haven't.

I disagree with the performance tonight but, you're right on this temporary manager thing.
Either give him the job, or risk losing the managers currently available (which is what might be happening anyway?).
