Team played well, special shout out Braithwaite and Dobbin. Kenny Played well, We where too passive 1st half but 2nd half we were more positive. That team would have got a result on Sunday at Palace. Delph Coleman on borrowed time surely. Even Townsend should take a squad role and help the young lads. Dobbin Gordon Gray all young and hungry. Godfrey Braithwaite and even give Ghamin more minutes. Sometimes good things happen through adversity and Benitez might of got lucky here having to give these lads a chance.

Let's not get carried away. It was a plucky draw. Hopefully we build on it, but we've had plenty of false starts this season.

This is all we want as fans, young players getting chances instead of proven failures or has beens that offer us nothing. One thing youth will always guarantee is energy and hunger.

Branthwaite was excellent, Gordon showed more desire, courage and heart than a number of senior lads over the past couple of months who should be embarrassed. Dobbin looked lively and not afraid to put himself about.

I honestly don't mind backs to wall performances like today when that desire is shown, the issue long term is will we see the next game (Burnley?) be any different in tactical set up to today despite the easier opposition, Benitez has shown no flexibility to go at teams.

Oh and can't not mention how Iwobi still managed to stand out as the worst player on the pitch in a game where we barely touched the ball, that takes a special level of talent.

Still, if i had to be critical i'd say Kenny was anonymous yet again - he really can not be our RB

Kenny was fine, Godfrey was poor defensively but brilliant going forward

Between Gordon and Pickford but got to give it to Pickford because he repeatedly kept us in the game with a bunch of excellent saves. Well done to Gordon and all the young lads though. A thoroughly professional performance.
