Very happy that Christian is alive but it is time for the main football bodies to take into consideration the wellbeing of footballers and the demands all these summer competitions place on players, specially after long season with their clubs. These people are humans not machines and their bodies are not exempt to medical calamities from being overworked.

Think about this garbage nations league and how much football players have played since WC 2018To be fair, I doubt exhaustion caused what happened to Eriksen. He played 26 games for Inter and on the site I looked at, it had him down as only playing the equivalent of 15.4 complete 90 minute games.
You are, of course, right that this past 18 months have been tough on footballers bodies but I would be surprised if there was any indication that the amount of football played is the cause here, if the above is correct.
Everything happens for a reason, I guess. It's a whole big test.
