Nor me. In my world Everton are the biggest club on the planet and the sole reason I have any interest in the game at all.

However, I’d say Christian Eriksen’s circumstances differ, given his career was all but over a year ago.

One crap season under the Fat Spanish Waiter hasn't made Everton less attractive than Brentford, for crying out loud. They finished just 7 points ahead of us, and it would have been just ONE POINT had Branthwaite not been sent off, as Brentford were heading for their second hammering of the season at Goodison before the red card.

Once we add a few new players and Brentford no longer have Eriksen, we will be finishing comfortably above them next season. I won't be surprised if they go down.

I don't think he'll be at Everton or Brentford next season tbh
He'll be at a team in Europe I reckon
 
Great player. If he joins us I'll give it 2 months before people turn on him for lack of athletic ability and ignoring his tremendous footballing ability and brain.

i didn’t say we was less attractive i said he will stay at brentford and didn’t keep them up on his own.

Fair enough. I’m saying they were dropping like a stone prior to Eriksen’s good form, and I expect them to drop back to where they have come from once Eriksen leaves them.

This. Noone is saying brentford are bigger than us. They aren't. But for erikson, if it was a choice between us and them, other than money, we cant offer any football they can't already offer him, and his situation with them is different compared to a player who has never played for either team.

Not sure what some posters are struggling to comprehend about that.
