Saw a 787 departing Bush Intercontinental tonight, that's another big bird. Had no idea she was so big.

I've flown on one of those and it was a very pleasant flight. I've only seen United 787's at IAH but I figure there will be some more coming in there in the future from other carriers.

The A350 is also a magnificent jet but fewer carriers right now (I only know of Qatar and Finnair) until more orders are delivered.

Yep. It had Lufthansa livery. Today's wasQatar 714, a 777ER. Never seen it from below/passing overhead before. Impressive.

Flew back from Rhodes last week. WE flew Ryanair out and Jet2 back. Was blown away by Jet2 new mid range planes. Was like a dreamliner without screens and a middle isle. Mood lighting and huge windows. Was very impressed. Compared with Ryanairs new fleet which is very much like the crap you fly in now. Horrid company!!!

And yes @chicoazul yo are a bad, bad nerd....

At the risk of banging on about them, Norwegian operate 787 dreamliners from Gatwick to several american hubs. It's an excellent aircraft, and the improved cabin pressure makes a huge difference in reducing passenger discomfort and fatigue.

I'm still amazed that you fessed up to being a plane nerd. Ace moment of my life that.

*American

Going to Split next week to watch the boys and flying wizzair for the 1st time out of Luton. Anyone flew with them before? Not expecting much seeing as the fare was £22.99 one way...hahaha #UTFT

Flew out to Kefalonia with Norwegian Air on the 787 Dreamliner - very impressed with the aircraft and the airline.

My favourites are the first generation of turbo fan commercial planes. Boeing 707, 727, 737, and especially, Douglas DC-9. Very attractive aircraft, all aluminum, very clean lines. And the noise of those Pratt and Whitney JT3D and JT8Ds. Just great to watch IMO.
