Kind of annoyed that this isn't coming to PC tbh.

Sony's biggest problem is their thick skulled approach to exclusives.
Microsoft have the right idea with the PC/Console crossover stuff they are doing.

As much as I'd like to play a fair few of the PS exclusives, I refuse to pay 5 ton for another gaming platform just to play them.
 
Just finished the campaign on the Avengers game - most reviews I'd read said the campaign was way better than the multiplayer (which isn't something I'm usually much into anyway, TBH), but I thought it was the blandest button-masher I've seen for a long time. Even though it's short (I'd guess 10/15hrs), it kind of dragged. I wasn't expecting it to be great, but I thought it'd have a bit more about it than it actually did. Off to CeX with it, where I should get back near enough what I paid for it...

Just picked up these two. I'd been playing FM20 on GamePass trial for a few months, but sacked it off when the trial expired, so well glad to see that on Epic!! :D :D

@Terrarian how's CK3 going? Did you ever play 2? Gotta be good to pull you away from Terraria!! ;)

Same boat here, although I never played DeS. Played a ton of DS1, 2 and 3, although only in the last 2 years. So a real live Souls pvp / coop game will be totally new to me.
DS1 and 3 are still very much alive in terms of activity, but they're dead really in terms of change or new gameplay. The meta builds / strats all got optimised years ago and haven't changed.

Thought the trailer looked absolutely epic (that backstab!) but prob just because I Dark Souls. Heard a few people a bit non-plussed by it, I guess because it is not really getting into the gameplay more the visuals.

I haven’t, no. The gameplay in the video just looked utterly one note. Slash, slash, slash, block, block, slash

I thought this when I watched the trailers and some gameplay videos. The fighting looked so dull and repetitive. Like you I'm not bothered by the multiplayer aspect and I've never been that interested by looters so I happily swerved. Which is annoying as when it announced it I was quite excited.

I never played 2 I thought about it but kept reading it was very difficult, I bought this because I kept reading it has a tutorial haha so I'm still fumbling around in the dark at the minute or so it seems. there's a lot of info going on, going to take time to learn it so I've started watching youtube vids which I generally hate.

Terraria is a beast of a game haha bloody addicted to it but I have put it down for now.

Yeah, this is the best way to learn the game imo. The tutorial on 3 is supposed to be better I think, but on 2 it wasn't great, and you learn more I think watching ppl play then the tutorial, in terms of strategy and why you would do certain things. Learning the actual mechanics of the game is only one part. Search for Quill18 on there. He's doing a CK3 series atm, and did loads of CK2 serie before, so knows the games pretty well, and is not crazy and wacky and aimed at kids and teens like a lot of channels are.

I obviously can't comment on 2 but the tutorial in 3 is very basic, there is a lot that you have to learn and take in by yourself even with it. It basically shows you how to get married and how to do a battle but the rest is left to you, it's a lot of reading and that's a bit of a negative for me, obviously once you know the game it'll be less reading.

There are tooltips on absolutely everything so in that regard the help is there but trying to take it all in and put it all together is very overwhelming. I'm determined to learn this game though as it does sound bloody good fun when you know what you are doing.

I'll have a look for that guy, been using a guy called italian spartacus and I see kaos has done some as well.
 
I'm just watching Vikings and I've just realised that you can play as the Lothbrooks and Halfdans in CK3 very interesting, I actually took Northumbria with them and didn't even realise who they were

Depends on the class you pick, and the weapon you use. There are also the obligatory Thief/Mage/Cleric classes as well so not all just hack 'n slash. Have you played any of the Dark Souls series and/or Bloodborne? Same gameplay. But they are all HARD, and Demon's Souls is harder. Unforgiving, challenging and rewarding to beat. Its a lot darker and there is a ton more atmosphere than any other souls game.

Its brilliant.
