Computer games.

Picked up Death Stranding on PC out of pure boredom and...

Just over 4 hours in and I've had control of the character for less than 45 minutes.

The thing with Konami is, they may be an awful company, but they kept at least some of the reigns on Kojima on MGS5 to stop him going full Kojima on the cut scenes. But this, jesus, it's relentless. And it's all nonsense as well. The forced exposition, ridiculous character names and general silliness are jarring and massively outdated. Sam Porter Bridges (because he's a porter and he connects people like a bridge, get it?) , Heartman (because his heart keeps stopping, get it?), Die-Hardman (because he can come back to life after death, get it?), Fragile (because she has the body of a frail old woman, get it?) GET IT!?

And that bloody phone codec alarm... you cant walk 2 feet without another one of the zany cast of characters phoning you to spew another 20 minutes of indecipherable nonsense at you. I'm sure Kojima thinks all this is deep and profound , but it's like sifting through some poorly translated anime script written by David Icke.

'koff Kojima.

That's my impressions so far. I'll let you know if the game is any good if it actually lets me play for more than 15 bloody minutes at a time...

My favorite game of all time is...Demons Souls.

I will be buying the PS5 for this title alone. And this re-make looks utterly FANTASTIC!

Was there not some kind accidental reveal on Wednesday as in coming to PC and Xbox six months and year after PS5 and respectively and on PS4.

Sony have not covered themselves in glory after promising no sneaky pre-orders for the latest console and plenty for all. Reports was a 12.01 release Friday morning and selling out in minute's...

MGS 3 was the last one that I (only just) enjoyed.

Once the cutscenes had equal billing to the gameplay I just couldn't be bothered.

In a similar vein, I have just played through all the 'Nathan Drake' games for the first time.

Decent enough storylines for all 4 stories, but the controls are massively frustrating with regard to jumps etc.

Also, whilst 4 looks amazing, far too many cutscenes of mainly nonsense.

I'm pleased I have finally played them, but feel a little short changed after the pedestal they are on.

Uncharted games are very playable but my word I see so much hype on gameplay and storyline and find the gameplay good in parts but nothing special/original and the storyline and dialogue quite meh. The shooting sections get dull in particular. Don’t get the best of a generation type shouts

On the digital only console, I will definitely go down that route. I haven’t bought a hard copy of a game in....10 yrs or more. I have maybe only bought a couple games full price and at the prices I pay for the games (the ones I don’t play by using my brothers profile ) I don’t think twice about the idea I don’t “own” it. But if I was arsed buyin hard copies, and finishing them and returning them soon after and recouping much of my money then yeah that’s a great system. I don’t ever get to finish games regularly enough to get that system going tho, and I couldn’t even tell you where my nearest games store is

It will be different for everyone which is why the choice is good. I have 2 CEX shops within 5 minutes from my home. So I’ve picked up quite a few cheap games from them over the years. I download most of my games now but I like having the option to buy the disks too.

I will probably have this console for 5 years+ so I’m happy to spend the extra to have that option. But if you never buy physical copies of games then the digital version is perfect. It looks nicer too

With the Xbox Series X, can you play Xbox One games on it? Thought you could but think I saw COD were bringing out two versions- one for XONE and another which works for both? Also GTAV is being released on it?

Hopefully they sack all the Incredibly lazy people at the top of Bethesda and start over from scratch when building the new fallout. The first step is binning that god awful creation engine.

It’s all gameplay mate. That’s just the intro.
