Computer games.

Don't usually do pre-orders, but decided to do just that for Cyberpunk 2077 on Steam.

I'm working next weekend, so wont have much time to play, so will pre-download it and spend Thursday playing through!

Still not finished Assassins Creed Valhalla either. Absolutely massive game. I'm like 50 hours in and still have half the map unexplored!

I'm really enjoing AC Valhalla too. Its not a perfect game but its good enough to enjoy sinking hours in.

The audio is utterly horrendous though. At night I play it with good audio-technica headphones and its like the sound is filtered through a tin can. Never quite experienced a game with audio this bad. I can put up with it but its quite a shame because the music and shanties are really immersive.

The PC optimisation is really poor as well.
I could run Ghost Recon Breakpoint at fairly high settings, but have to seriously mess with the settings and do a rain dance to keep Valhalla at 60fps.
Still get a fair bit of screen tearing as well.

Loafs of fun to play, though!

The screen tearing is bizarre. Its on PS5 too but its only during cutscenes, otherwise its got great visuals (though not as good as Demon's Souls) and a solid 60fps. I remember Origins had a similar problem with tearing on PC.

Like I’m still wondering if I’ll enjoy cyber punk. I really don’t like first person perspective. Maybe only game in modern time I would have known I’d like was kojimas PT or silent hill. But I played like 300 hours of the witcher and loved it. I love the style and the look. Keanu in it seems cool. I just look at the gameplay and it’s ircing me as just reminds me of why I don’t like first person.

I just do t F’ing know. Baaaadly want it to blow me away.

It's going to be great.

I also can't wait for all the fallout from the people that were expecting a futuristic GTA 5. It will be hilarious.

Unfortunately for you you will spend the money buying it and whether you end up liking it or not CD Projekt will be raking it in gleefully.

Ah yeah it’s getting mainstream advertising coverage. People are in for a shock I have been following it long time. And I’m digging deep in some reviews and I’m hearing things that I wanna hear in terms of immersion and story changes that for first time isn’t shallow, it seems.

but then you hear ‘oh it’s brilliant the way you can hack things and do this and that with hacking’ and I’m like zzz zzz zzz zzz. Also first person melee has always been gick to me.

Look I’m 85% certain none this stuff won’t matter and it’s an experience I’ll fall in love with.
