It’s the problem with the modern era of gaming. Your best off waiting for them all to have the ultimate edition with all the dlc and patches. Your like a guinea pig f you are a fan our just hyped for the game and want it day one. I’d be happy waiting for the full dlc patches ps5 upgrade in a year or two but been waiting so long and hyped that I can’t not get it.

The game is too ambitious for the system. There are serious data dumps in the game matrix and the systems are not handling it well as the games are now. So much going on at once. It’s much better on the ps4pro but the base is bad I have been seen.

Mine's been at it for about 6 hours.

I've spent some time making a photoshop for carlos and reading about how poorly it is going to perform on the PS4.

Loads of people kicking off over how bad it performs on the PS4 and Xbox1 and people saying "Well it's your fault for buying it on an old system".

What responsibility does the company have to put out a product that actually works? If it can't actually run on PS4 or Xbox1 then why have Sony and MS allowed them to sell it on those consoles?

I'm not asking for it to look like it does on PS5 or PC but it seems to have serious issues with pop-ins and crashing.

People saying "Well what did you expect it's a next gen game"

The game was meant to be out years ago and should work on the base models or it shouldn't be for sale on them.

CD Projek Red are going to get slaughtered if it doesn't get fixed.

I thought something dodgy was going on when they wouldn't let actual gameplay be shown before the game was released.
 
Gameplay is good but yeah its really not all that well optimised. Playing with a 1080Ti and 1600X the framerate is all over the place. In a small room it can go from 60 down to 25 if I look in different corners.

Are you on base or pro buddy. Making photoshops for Carlo is a decent way to pass the time lol

Ah look mate the game will be playable. The story is meant to be fantastic very deep in its themes and the RPG mechanics infused are all a good time to be had. You will get over the odd glitch and get into the game. They will constantly be fixing it and the dlc will be like a game in itself content wise so when that comes around you should be in for a good time when it’s all said and done.

Very understandable. Seeing the footage has put me right off buying it. Was gonna get it tomorrow but not sure if I can be arsed anymore.

Might stick with Resident Evil or Alien Isolation over Christmas instead.

Is there even any way they could patch/fix frame rate on the old-gen systems? (seems worst on the xbox) I don't know if there is a trade-off between frame rate and resolution, but they already look like 480p so there's no wiggle room there.




Looks really good on the next gen consoles, but with all the bugs it's clear they weren't ready to release this game, and in truth should probably have swerved old-gen all together.

I have absolutely no idea on the frame rate improvement.

Get a load of this glitch though. I'm starting to think the massive amount of time and money spent on this game was actually worth it.
