Computer games.

I get ye. I'll give it a good bash the weekend. I just went to the tree and then got passed the the socialist strike guy. The only thing that seems like gameplay is rolling a dice that may kill you. Other than that it feel like you could just button mash all the dialogue and get by.

100% know there is more to it than that im sure. The inventory and stuff im sure there's a bit of puzzle solving to do etc . That's all I ask for. I like different niche indie games. Dont get me wrong. Im not a call of duty fifa consuming robot.

I just haven't giving it a good go and have been very tired when playing it.
There are puzzles and you have to use items for stuff. A lot of the fun is the way it is written, the story telling and the fact you can make your character any kind of crazy or you can be a supercop. Just be mindful of which stuff you learn as it costs to remove them again and progression can be slow. I wish I hadn't learn the communism and hobocop traits first time round and it takes a while and you have to use a skill point to remove one.

Yeah I wanted to have sex with this boy in it really bad but he kept screaming about my penis. So me and my Asian partner had to flee. Ill revisit that. The completionist in me won't let that lay. Need to level up.

My god, used to play TW PGA with some mates for hours and hours around the early 2000's.

The relatively simple shot mechanics were part of the appeal. As soon as they started being to clever with the putting I lost interest.

Interested to see how this plays.

My favourite golf game is still PGA Tour II on the Mega Drive. Simply because of its' simplicity. The mind fills in the blanks in terms of graphics etc. because the core gameplay gets you invested enough.

The Tiger Woods series was alright but as you say it got gradually worse and worse because they couldn't help themselves.

Anyone tried Outriders yet? Playing it via game pass on Series X and not sure it’s my type of game, but only just started so will persist... but

Cyberpunk 2077 has it's multiplayer cancelled, breaking a pre-release promise.

Such a shame how CD Projekt have turned into just another AAA dev.
Cyberpunk is on cdkeys.com for £17.99; my pc i would say is a bit of a potato and I've heard bad rumours about the graphics for less powerful machines, is it worth buying? Not that I'm getting it any time soon as I had a bit of a splurge this week lol.

Meh it's a tough one. It's one of those games that if it was released without fanfare people would have went "it's not bad" and got on with their lives.

Because of the hype, it's "awful".

For me it's basically Watch Dogs again. Watch Dogs wasn't a terrible game, but it wasn't a good one either. Cyberpunk is the same - a 6/10 type of thing. It has badly immersion breaking issues all over the shop, it's mechanically a mess but you can still have some fun with it.

At £18, it's an acceptable buy as long as you don't expect too much. But with a sub-par machine it's probably not. And it's still pretty much a broken game - personally I'd be waiting another six months or so and seeing if you can get it in a bundle or something.

Brilliant, thanks for that, I think I will leave it a while see what sort of patches and fixes come out.

Finally got round to playing through Inside this week... it's a lot of fun, and some of the puzzles really do take some figuring out, but it's very satisfying once the penny drops. That last stretch of the game really upped the WTF? stakes by some way. Oh, and that mermaid/siren thing you encounter several times in the game is a truly horrible PITA.

Thinking of finally taking the plunge with Disco Elysium - anyone got any advice on what the best build/starting ability scores might be? Does the choice you make have a big impact on how the game plays out?

Yeah your initial choice effects the sorts of responses and thoughts you get, your personality is split into 20(might even be 24 off top of my head) I think and they all can effect the type of options you get at any given time. You can build your own or it offers 3 types to start with.
