Cheers. The Gigabyte G27Q is high up there. I’ve been looking at the G27QC, the former being an IPS and the latter a curved VA panel.

From what I gather IPS panels are better for gaming as VA panels suffer from motion blur and ghosting. But I’ve had 3 IPS 4K TVs and the contrast is shocking on all of them.

Balls.

Maybe in the past, but VA panels are really good these days. If you want the absolute best response for gaming, you want a TN panel. But then you get poor colour accuracy and terrible viewing angles.

VA panels are the best compromise these days, in terms of colour accuracy, blacks, refresh rates and price. They most certainly don't deserve their reputation gained from early VA panels.

You’ve backed up my thoughts so I’ll go for that.

Got fed up of not being able to see anything when wherever game I’m playing goes dark. VA it is.

I’ll go for the Gigabyte. Just got to decide whether to spend £310 new or £250 manufacturer refurbished.

Frostpunk is a really good little management game. Had a lot of fun/tense moments on it
 

Picked up Frostpunk for free, I'd previously had a refund on steam from it, but more than happy to play it free..

Children of Morta are this months treats, paid less than £20 for all 4

Oxygen Not Included is by the same people who did Don't Starve, it's a similar game to Rimworld kind of just different aesthetics not been on any of the others yet.

So many great games in 16 bit and 8 bit gaming if you haven't got a great system.
 
Finally got round to playing Bloodborne and my Gosh it is good. Still early days with it, mind - about to wallop Father Gascoigne all over the shop with my Souls skills.

Surprised how derivative DS3 clearly is of Bloodborne - like I'd read that they used a very similar engine but I suppose you don't really feel it until you play it. Lothric castle even looks v similar to Yharnam. The Undead Settlement is basically a Bloodborne level.
