Computer games.

I went for the G502 Lightspeed in the end @Dylan

I quite like it so far. It doesn't feel heavy and it's not as big as I feared it would be. It's going to take a little getting used to especially as I've been using a symmetrical mouse untl now.

Hopefully it works for you mate, gaming mice are horribly subjective.

I use a CoolerMaster MM712 which is ultra-lightweight and just works for my grip.

I've did a fair bit of research and it certainly seems that way. I did expect this G502 to be a little bigger than it is in all honesty. I'm not too keen on the scroll wheel either. It has a bit of play in it but it may just be a slight defect. It performs brilliantly wirelessly though. No lag whatsoever.

I would have gone for Razer had it not be for their questionable QA. Apparently their customer service is crap too.

I've had multiple Razer products over the years and honestly not had an issue mate.
My keyboard is still a Huntsmen elite and I love it.

You have the 'clutch' engaged on the scroll wheel? Or is it side to side play? That might be intended. The scroll wheel scrolls left and right as well as up and down like normal.

The G502 has one of, if not the best sensor on the market these days. I would so love to get the wireless version, but here in NZ, they run about $100 extra on top of the wired version (we are talking $240NZD here), so i will make due with my several year old G502 Proteus Core until it dies then maybe think about making that jump to the wireless version.

Yeah I have the lock engaged so it clicks as opposed to free spin. There is a little bit of play in the wheel before it gets to the side scrolling. The wheel sort of slides along the spindle slightly, if that makes sense. It sometimes makes it difficult to click the mouse wheel. Clicking the mouse wheel requires more pressure than my last mouse, but it's not a problem.

That's a ridiculous amount. It cost £78 here, which isn't cheap, but I thought if it lasts me a few years then I'll get value out of it. It was also by far the cheapest for what it does. Wireless Steelseries and Razer mice are almost £100. I haven't got a big desk and the wire on my old mouse was getting in the way a lot, so it's helped a lot.

Huh. Can't say mine has any slop in it, and it is probably around 5-6 years old now.
