The best thing to have done (from a fan perspective) would have been to remaster them one at a time and show them some proper love rather than what looks like just slightly tarted up graphics. But while they’ve got the GTA V cash cow going so strong still that was always unlikely.

Will be interesting to see if they’ve made any serious gameplay improvements or if it really is just a bit of a facelift.
 
Just had a look and this is what Rockstar have said about them:

“Rockstar says the games come with a "completely rebuilt lighting system; improved shadows, weather, and reflections; upgraded character and vehicle models; along with new higher resolution textures across buildings, weapons, roads, interiors, and more." Draw distances have been improved, new foliage has been added, and surfaces have been smoothed.

Rockstar has explained that all three games also feature quality-of-life improvements such as updated controls inspired by GTA 5, "improvements to targeting and lock-on aiming, updated Weapon and Radio Station Wheels, updated Mini-Maps with enhanced navigation allowing players to set waypoints to destinations, updated Achievements, Trophies, and more." You'll also be able to immediately restart a failed mission, cutting out major points of frustration from the originals.”

Also, San Andreas will be available on Game Pass and GTA 3 on PS Now.
 



The original is one of those games that I simultaneously loved and hated in equal measures.

The RNG was absolutely brutal to the point of parody at times, but there was so much done right.

Might give this one a go as well!
 

Been hammering the old Castlevania games lately. Some terrific deals on the PSN store right now. Picked up Symphony of the NIght and Rondo of Blood for 7 quid, also Castlevania Advance Collection (Includes x4 games) for £12. Very reasonable and hours of great gameplay in there from Konami's golden era. I always liked the mix of exploration, monster-busting and soundtracks on these games.

Only downside? They changed the voice acting for Symphony Of The Night!!! So you now don't have the brilliantly OTT:
" What is a MAN? A MISERABLE LITTLE PILE OF SECRETS!"


 
Picked up Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines on sale. Never played it before yet its got quite a reputation as a classic. Hope its not too dated. By chance, if anyone here has played it recently on Steam and know if there are any mods or whatever that are recommended?
