Computer games.

Yeah I hope it opens up a bit later on, because the story has been average at best so far, so I think they'll have to lean on the sandbox aspect of the game. Think I'll wait a few weeks before I continue just to see if they can smooth out some of the annoyances tho.
Also had a follower get stuck inside a wall, so there is a bit of Bethesdaquality in the game.
For me I like that the followers are able to gap close, jump and do a bit of acrobatics this time around. Isn’t always super realistic but I’ll settle for a more useful and less tedious follower. Bethesda will always have their jank unfortunately and it makes even more sense considering it’s Early access (I think anyways).

It has to be said for me- Bethesda is awful at writing characters and writing dialogue. Every time the characters speak I feel like I am watching a coffee commercial. I don’t even think it’s the voice actors faults- it’s as if they aren’t given personalities.

Obsidian will go out of their way to make characters stand out. BG3 did a great job with this too.

Starfield is a Bethesda game, confirmed, is basically all the reviews.

Jank here and there, "needs a few patches", "the mods will fix it".

People have to STOP buying this crap.
I know it was expected based on the leaks, but I’m amazed they promo’d so much on spaceships and spaceship building, when all space travel is repeated cut scene and fast travel. No actual use of the spaceships at all.

Expected a bit of grind through the first 12 hours or so, but really struggling to see that it’s going to payoff at the moment. They’ve built a massive world and forgotten to put any life into 90% of it.

Hmmm. It’s definitely interesting, and occasionally impressive so far, but not much fun.

Definitely disappointing, all those ships, supposed customization they talked about so much, all for nothing. Space exploration in non-existent, moving between planets is just quick travel through menu.

Also so many loading screens, what was supposed to be most sprawling Bethesda game with 1000 planets, it actually feel most constrained, artificial boundaries and loading screens for every little thing.

I’ve just ordered an AOC 24” 16:10 1200p monitor which I’m going to use in vertical/portrait mode. I didn't even realise such a resolution ratio existed until earlier. I'm hoping it won't look too narrow as I've had some reservations.

Feel like I’m starting to wade in to super-nerd territory now. If anyone else is like me and feels it neccessary to research every PC part purchase to death, I found this handy little website today which lets you visualise what a potential multi monitor set up would look like:

Peace out, nerds!

Not sure what to make of Starfield - there are times when it looks like a really well done Fallout 4 mod, and others when it looks like nothing else.

The space combat is a big letdown so far though - its a shame they couldn't have somehow integrated Elite: Dangerous with this.

Watched my mate play it for about half hour yesterday and wasn't very impressed, rather play star citizen and that is the most broken game ever made... but it actually feels like an open world where you can fly and land anywhere with no cutscenes. Starfield does not feel like an open-world game with all the quick travel and loading screens.

The combat is absolutely pony as well but its Bethesda so that was totally expected.
