Finally finished Tears of the Kingdom on monday. absolute monster of a game content wise that one, but they need to wise up on the story dialogue. Stop plating my arse about the fact that i'm Link and grow a set. Sages were right gimps
I absolutely love it and have spent god knows how long playing it now. My biggest annoyance is Riju (I think that’s her name). She has the best power but always blunders right into massive fights and so you risk death every time you try and use her. The water and wind guys are always there getting in the way being completely useless.

Agreed. Chasing the sages around to activate their power is really clunky. Can I just say though, what a showcase of artstyle I've high Res graphics the two Zelda games are. The Ghibli artstyle just completely negates any need for it to be even 1080p, it's a stroke of genius. TOTK had a very consistent frame rate too. Incredible game and hats off to Nintendo but it burnt me out after about 170 hours

The casual-looking combat combined with unchallenging-looking AI isn't filling me with much hope either.
Hopefully be decent but feels like they are watering it down for console consumption.
Yeah I'm nowhere near as excited as I was. This is something I really dislike about modern gaming i.e. devs significantly changing their games and abandoning their core audience. DayZ has been made a lot easier over the last couple of years. Their player base has more or less doubled in that time.

I got a bit bored with it in the end - have the final Boss fight parked and not done it yet. Still think it's technically great (looks phenomenal) but lack of a compelling story just boils it down to Link legging around finding Shrines and lighting up the depths for no real reason. Feels like a giant DLC more than a standalone game.

So Armoured Core 6 is pretty fun, with the one big caveat that the boss at the end of chapter one is one of the worst FromSoft bosses of all time in regards to being a massively unnecessary difficulty spike way too early

Game journalism is awful but yeah. For all of the scope and content put into Bethesda’s games they have been awful writers for some time and cutting corners with their releases. I hope Starfield is worth the hype and I hope they put more effort into the story, voice acting and polish but I’m expecting it to be underwhelming in that department.
