Computer games.

Played skyrim and the fallout games to death, except for 76. Is it worth a try, is it multiplayer only? Sure I remember it getting a bit of stick when it was released, assume patches etc. have cleared everything up...
Needs Xbox live to play. Theres other players on your server but the bulk of it is single player..

Basically Fo4.. I enjoyed it!

Got the quest 3. Had ago of the Mixed reality demo that installed on the quest.

Made me giggle like a kid. A small object came flying through my ceiling causing a hole and these bugs popping into my room. Honestly I can't wait to see what the developers can do with this over the next 2 years.

This is going to be the longest of long shots but you just never know. Basically just woken up from a dream and in that dream I was discussing online PC games we used to play at school in the early/mid 2000’s so have been trying to hunt them down. So far I’ve found Neopets. One more eludes me…

Basically all I remember was that it was a game you accessed through a website as we could play it on school computers. Your character was (or at least mine was) a male human, maybe brown hair, fighter and you basically did little boss levels and killed stuff to get better swords and items etc. From memory the viewpoint was side on, sort of Street Fighter but on a slight angle.

I have been googling for an hour and getting nowhere. I swear this game existed. If you’re in your 30’s, HELP.

Edit: and it wasn’t RuneScape.
That reads like Adventure Quest mate.

Edit: FFS you've gotten it the next page, I should really pay attention to that hahah

💙💙💙...memories.
Josh Strife Hayes did a video on Hero Online in its current state - it's now dead/dying etc. but I spent thousands of hours in that game when it came out, had early access and had to download it with atrocious ADSL speeds for over 15 hours just to play back when it came out in the late summer of 2006 lol

Man the game is in the gutter now obviously, surprised it still even exists to begin with, but him going through just... things in the game hit me right in the nostalgia hahah

The brutality of early EQ (XP/item loss on death, no maps, no quest markers. no fast travel etc) fostered a helpful community 'cause everyone got their a** handed to them at some point in some way; best community I've ever seen online, so I have fond memories.

I had a Nintendo eShop game voucher lying about that I'd forgotten about so I got Tears of the Kingdom recently, and played for about 10 hours, it's ace and a massive upgrade on BOTW for me. Just wandered around mostly and just got to the wind temple and ran out of foods/elixirs to repel the cold.

I did pretty much exactly the same thing. Got to the boss but was completely under equipped so had to run away and come back to it later.

Finished it last week. Well I did the main story, all the shrines, light roots and side quests. Will go back to it at some point and try and do all the caves and find all the wells. Such a great game.

A colleague is really happy with the latest patches and all, I'm just following from afar but he's really hyped about all of it.

Glad to see it worked out (or is working out I guess?), the IP is interesting to put it mildly!

When I first played when it came out I just couldn't get into it, and mine wasn't that buggy. Thought it was a bit boring.

Maybe in wrong headspace at time.

But aye the new patch has made me revisit and it's been great so far. Gripped by the story and characters.

I recently finished it to a similar point - although I only did the side adventures, not side quests. Mixed feelings for me, technically very accomplished game but lacking in some areas. Not just the story but the progression is really bolloxed in this game imho - I think it's the verticality of the map. BotW is used as a case-study in organic, natural progression but that has been lost in ToTK.
Still enjoyed it enough to sink some time in - absolutely beautiful looking game.

Mulling over BG3 - definitely want to play it at some point but don't want a massive time sink right now. ER DLC is rumoured to be Feb 24.
