Computer games.

Currently playing Cities Skylines 2.

Its a dumpster fire.

Performance is BAD, so, so many bugs.

Im enjoying it, but its yet another game that was released in a beta stage.
The quality of releases these days is an absolute shambles, and devs hide behind the "improvement patches" excuse and pretend they're keeping the game well looked after as if it's something we should be grateful for.

If you don't insist on playing the latest and greatest, you make back much of what you put into a PC (relative to a console) on game pricing. The closed ecosystems of Sony and Microsoft are not consumer friendly. Having better input peripherals (keyboard/mouse or a Switch Pro controller) is also a massive plus.

YMMV on peripherals if you don't dislike the present PS/Xbox controllers as much as I do. My kid likes them both. I haven't liked an Xbox controller since 360.

It's a great console, both for the exclusive titles and the handheld property. I would wait a year and buy the Switch 2 if I didn't have one at present, though.
I love the Switch but agree I would hold off on buying one given the reported new one next year. But just on your controller point, the Switch Pro is almost identical to the current Xbox controller. Interested to know where you see the big differences. I'm more of a Playstation person as that what I've spent most of my life playing so maybe that's why I don't see the differences as much. But the layouts seem basically identical and the Xbox one feels like it has better build quality.

It just fits, where the Xbox one doesn't. It also has the feel of higher build quality, and the broken Xbox controllers my kid has tend to support the contention.

Fair enough. I don't use my Xbox much so don't really know about how long they last in comparison with the Switch Pro controller. In terms of feel they are incredibly similar to me but again it's probably because I'm used to PS controllers.

To be fair, I don't controller toss like he does. On the rare occasions when I do, it's a slide across a giant seven-foot desk, rather than spiking the oblongball.

Been replaying this challenging Indie stunt racer on PS4 Pro.

Simple yet beautifully clean visuals, a boss hypnotic synth/techno soundtrack and a massively addictive "just one more try and I'll nail it perfectly" challenge to it. The controls are intially tough but once you get a handle on them it becomes brilliantly rewqarding fun.

The same programmer has done a rally race game based on the same game engine...

Both are boss.

I've played this on iOS and really liked it. The rally game looks great, hopefully they'll release that on iOS at some point too.
