Computer games.

Tried a game like this a while back - fond memories of me and a friend sitting down and beating it with just one or two lives lost. Man I lost all my lives in the first 15 min, how did we do it in 1 go when we were like 10 lol

They are really unforgiving those old games. What game was it? I finished a couple random games added to NES on switch online and used the save states to push thru them.

I was chatting to my brother's about this at Xmas. I think it's that we remember finishing them but not so much all the hours and days beforehand getting game over screens until you basically had memorised the bloody game and could finish it. I guess our younger brains were able to do this more easily?

Anyone got any emulator recommendations? I got a folder of games from someone a few years a go. I'm sure there's 5-6000 games in there for like a dozen systems but I don't know how to get it working..

I don't know much anymore about specific emulator software but I have a Raspberry Pi which can be connected to your PC or TV and comes loaded with the software and games and is easy to use. Hook up a Bluetooth or usb controller and good to go

FCEUX is a good one, Nestopia also. You can get .nes files if you just search for them, I think I had a collection somewhere I can try to find too.

Some TMNT game, forgot which one honestly lol So frustrating though.

It's probably a lack of actually thinking when playing it really, and just memorising patterns. I play competitive games to this day and can see how that's the magical resolution for this - SO occasionally would watch me and ask how I remember things to do everything at the same time, to which the answer is basically "I dunno, mechanical/muscle memory I guess" lol

Where best to look at buying those things?

A guy I used to work with is major retro gaming nerd. He built an arcade machine using something like that but with every emulator and game imaginable!

I manage to complete PANG on it!! lol

Sorry, I’m not sure. I got mine off my brother. I went looking now and there’s so many options I wouldn’t know where to start, and a lot of them are very pricy and I’m sure mine was cheap enough but does the job

Five nights at Freddie's PS4. What's this about?

These things appear, apparently at random, and you are dead. Otherwise you shut the doors, the power runs out, then these things appear and you are dead.

The cameras that are supposed to help don't always.

Is this a huge wind up?
