My problem is that I feel like ive played everything before.
Sure new games come out with shiny graphics, but its the same old, same old.
But yes, its probably an age thing, I mean ive been gaming for 35+ years now, maybe we finally growing up?
Still yet to find a game that hit me like Chuckie Egg did on the Speccy.

I play mainly older games and games I can pick up for an hour or 2 now and then but not get especially committed.
I get anxious if I spend too long gaming now which I think is a getting older thing for me. Not like when I was younger and could get high all day playing final fantasy or something.

Great remake of the original and the UI looks a lot less like a dialysis machine.

Still lost in cyberpunk, and a few things reminded me directly of SS2, because it was swirling in my mind was why I coughed it up. The arena basement carpark maze was a real nostalgic breath of fresh air. Oh, that was it, was chatting in here about possibly making 'escape from new york' into a game, but it seems someone thought similar and the DLC uses that storyline in this. It's a shame the vehicle mechanics are as bad as they are. And Johnny Silverhand's one note performance aint cutting mustard neither.
Triple A games are boring apart from FromSoftware games and the odd PS exclusive or once in a generation games like BG3. The Ubisoft open world format most AAA games follow is incredibly tedious, and has been for 5+ years at least.

Or "old" favourites - I made a new PC and realised I'd not played Doom Eternal on it yet, so will change this in the next few days; Fallout 3 is also installed for a playthrough and semi-active, as the wife's not played any of them but likes the story, so we're treating it as a co-op game currently.Other than that I agree though - it's mostly Guild Wars 2 and CS2 for me currently, cba with trying most new games. Manor Lord is still an exception to this rule and a great game and it keeps getting updates, so playing that every few new iterations.
I've not played Cyberpunk yet, but I don't really feel like doing it either currently to be honest. Might sail the 7 seas for it as well, arsed giving money for something I might be very meh about.
A friend/colleague is liking it a lot though, and he had to stop because of the early BS - preordered the deluxe edition and everything, booted it up, beat it once with 5000 bugs and then didn't go back to it for like a year until they fixed things
I'm glad it's getting more normal play and love lately though, the concept is fantastic!

I find FromSoftware's games incredibly boring myself, and always have. Armored Core's concept is amazing but cba with 500 soft reboots, and Dark Souls/similar games are just tedious for me personally. More power to everyone liking it but I'm very much in camp "meh" for them.

FS games are very unique in terms of gameplay and narrative, they don't hold the players hand. It can actually require some thinking to figure out what needs to be done next to progress the story.
I'm not a big fan of Soulslikes, there's a couple I really like but most don't come near to the quality of a FS game
It's what my mate does (well, did, we no longer work at the same place) - just basically gave me a summary of things that are better now. As I said - happy it gets more play!
Yeah, but I play games to have fun playing games for the most part. It's not about hand holding, it's about tedium in my case personally - just don't have the patience for it. Have played a bit of 2 on a console ages ago, and some of 3, they're decent games, but mechanics fights with 1 shot potential with the smallest slip do my head in, and I've been doing that in MMO raids for about 20 years at this point. Don't need it for more games
I watch(ed) some streams and the environment and some of the narratives are great, don't get me wrong, but horses for courses and all.
Naturally I expect a "skill issue" shout here.
