New Vegas was Obsidian (and the best Fallout 3d game imo). As for GTA 5, I think it was up to standard. It went the same route that RDR2 went after it and went for a more narrative experience as opposed to the mission cutscene mission story. I agree that it may have been too easy but it was a very good game and introduced more heists like the one in GTA4 (which was probably the best mission in the entire series). Rockstar does best with GTA when it goes for that subtle madcap humor that it went for in the originals. Now that they have a wider audience, I can see it being very watered down and dull like the newer Bethesda games.

agreed here. it's a shame selling more means lessening the character of the product. it's the originality that won it legions of fans, film send ups and wise cracks showed a love for the source material that bled through to genre fans. I'd take some riff on fight club or se7en for a chapter, mix it up, it's not like there isn't tons of beloved material out there waiting to be made mirth with.

I think Rockstar did very well with their period pieces (if you can call the 80’s, 90’s that) and now that it is becoming more modern the direction has changed a bit. Vice City and Sand Andreas were so wacky and that was part of the charm. I do believe 4 and 5 were just as good but for very different reasons. They definitely didn’t have the same charm as the older ones.

Love my Switch and loved BOTW. Currently dropping in and out of the sequel which is excellent too

With the online subscription you get access to a library of lots of old Nintendo games with loads of classics

Yes, it's incredible. If you like getting lost in a game and constantly finding new important details in a world then it's right up there with the best at doing that. I'd say top 3 most important games of the previous decade
