How old was Osman when he made it to the first team? Wasn't he like 23 or something?
A very good point, Connor has had quite a few set backs due to bad luck with injuries.

Not every player coming through the youth academy will or even has to be a superstar. Getting solid squad players is just as important, especially If they can remain in the first team squad for over 10 years. Will he make it, I honestly don't know but I really hope the lad can. Moyes rated him and so does Bobby so the guy does have potential and is rated with in the club.

I know he has another year on his deal but it's make or break this season for him. if he can't make it this season then really he never will. Let's hope he can perform at the same standard he did in the Swindom game for the can for the remainder of the pre season. If so he'll defiantly be getting some early season minutes and chances.

Any word why he wasn't in the match squad? Really hope for the kid that he didn't get injured again!

so was there any reasons given by martinez why he wasnt involved yesterday?

From the echo:

Joel Robles, Luke Garbutt, Jonjoe Kenny, Joe Williams and Antonee Robinson were unused subs against Stoke while Ryan Ledson and Conor McAleny also sat out the game.

It is understood, all seven players will be fit and available for selection on Saturday

Wow, that almost constitutes a positive Everton article in the Redecho.

Been giving it the big one behind the scenes since that Swindon performance by all accounts, shame really

on a high then kick him back down again so kone an stink the place out for a few minutes. good work roberto

He really should do something similar to Chris Long.
Leave Everton, where he isn't good enough to get in the team , join a championship club and start to build a career for himself.

The Swindon game counts for nothing. All of the young players all had an extra weeks training more than the senior players before that game.
It is really benefitting Browning most of all.
