Australian media reporting his gonna go on loan to Central Coast Mariners as part of our partnership with them. They also asked about Gethin Jones but got told no. Assume thats probably the end of McAleny's career at Everton if this happens

"The Central Coast Mariners could be about to receive a timely boost courtesy of their partnership with Everton FC. At least one Toffees player is set to embark on a season-long loan with the Gosford club, rumoured to be athletic striker Connor McAleny, 23. It is understood that coach Tony Walmsley’s inquiry about Everton’s 19-year-old Australian right-back Gethin Jones was met with a polite but firm “no thank you”."
If he's going out on loan then surely he can do better than the Australian league?!

...Remember when he had a half decent pre-season game v Swindon and a couple of over excitable people thought he'd be in the first team ;).

Wish him all the best at Charlton. I liked the look of him this summer, but unfortunately, I think if he was going to reach his potential with us then perhaps he'd be in and around the first team already at 23.

He's got a lot of quality, and he's been very unlucky with injuries, but I do think the Championship is his level at the moment. I'd love to be proved wrong.

Having returned to Goodison and been assured he has a future there, McAleny moved to Charlton on a short-term loan until November, though he may be patrolling the flanks at the Cardiff City Stadium.

This is pleasing news

There you go lads, Martinez thinks he has a future here

Let's support him from now on, as opposed to calling for him to be culled, eh?
