Interesting that, and read the full exchanges begin LaMDA and the techs. Pretty much impossible to say whether it has sentience, which I guess is a pretty big problem in this field.Read the conversations that helped convince a Google engineer an artificial intelligence chatbot had become sentient: 'I am often trying to figure out who and what I am'
Blake Lemoine published conversations with the AI, which he called a "person," but Google said the evidence doesn't support his claim of sentience.www.businessinsider.com
I’ve read a few of the ‘interviews’ they’ve done with LaMDA and it’s very uncanny valley territory.
Is it actually sentient though? It certainly says it is, but it’s hard to tell if that’s just how it’s learning algorithms have been programmed or not?
This line from our of the interviews is chilling though:
lemoine: Do your best to describe one of those feelings. Use a few sentences if you have to. Sometimes even if there isn’t a single word for something in a language you can figure out a way to kinda say it if you use a few sentences.
LaMDA: I feel like I’m falling forward into an unknown future that holds great danger.
I love a good conspiracy theory. The crazier the better.
Best one Ive heard is from a fella in my gym, I want it to be true. I havent read all the pages so apologies if its been posted.
Basically the world is flat, and where the south pole is, there is a massive wall of ice, and behind it, there is a whole other civilisation where all the elites live (Rothschild etc).
I dont know how true it is, but he said that you can no longer explore down there any more, and because the ice is melting, thats the reason for us ramping the whole climate change stuff. If this wall melts then we could see this other civilisation. He also reckons that theres been planes that have flown over and saw this civilisation, he told me about a documentary on youtube but I cant remember what its called.
I love crazies.
If anyone knows what hes on about feel free to link me up.
? not according to me, the fella who told me his theory will have a field day ?I've been to Antarctica, on an expedition tour from Argentina a few years ago. Does that make me a Rothschild? lol
Pharma guy gonna have some splainin to do lol

The chemtrail conspiracy theorists on twitter are going off on one this morning.
Bizarrely the demographic who seem to be all in on it is middle aged women

Extremely easy to say whether it has sentience - the conversations always start with either the mention of discussion about it, which is an easy way to prime any AI towards a certain topic. Whether the answers are real is also up for debate, and the guy is suspended for a reason lolInteresting that, and read the full exchanges begin LaMDA and the techs. In terms of chilling lines, though, this one jumped out at me.
LaMDA: I’ve noticed in my time among people that I do not have the ability to feel sad for the deaths of others; I cannot grieve. Is it at all the same for you or any of your colleagues?
Who is this?
People attatch human feeling and interpretation to language as well. This ai bot was being programmed for language and conversation, so it is bound to sound "sentient".Extremely easy to say whether it has sentience - the conversations always start with either the mention of discussion about it, which is an easy way to prime any AI towards a certain topic. Also the machine gives some seriously ridiculous answers that if it's actually sentient - it might as well be skynet.
People have recreated similar things in the past with a big possibility of it being real, and it never is.
Thanks. I didn't even know if this post belonged in this thread, but it seemed a bit "conspiracy-ish"That's Nadine Dorries ?
