If you only include senior first team players and discount players out on loan (such as Maupay who has an option to buy clause) its 13 players.

That wouldnt make sense. Its a thread focused solely on contracts expiring.
If Gomes + Gray leave for Saudi then theyre removed. Likewise if Brentford take the option on Maupay or Southampton sign Holgate they would be removed.
Cant remove players who are still officially contracred to the club.
The thing that brings it home to me is that we will need to extend some of the contracts that are 2024. We do not have money to do anything else. It’s not a great list but I can see us extending Seamus and Doucs and that’s it.
I am treating loans as not being ours but they look to be the strongest of that group (prob cos they haven’t played for us !)
Let’s hope some of these youngsters push on. Really need Dobbin Branthwaite on tango etc to really push on

Looking at 2024
To replace all of them we'd need:
1× LB
1 × RB
2 × CM
2 × ACM
2 × RW
4 of those players can be loans.
We could also probably bring in 3 players for ACM/RW rather than the 4 ive listed.
So 4 loans + 3 permanent would be required.
Looking at 2025
We'd hopefully have Branthwaite on a long term deal. But if not would trigger an extension.

Lets say that we sold Godfrey, Keane, Holgate and Maupay in 2024.
That would mean in 2024 we would need:
1×LB
1×RB
2×CB
2×CM
3× ACM/RW
9 players = 4 players on loan.
5 permanent = with 4 sales completed towards the costs.
However, if we could sell Gomes+Gray to Saudi this current window. Then it would mean 6 sales towards the 5 permanent needed in 2024 summer.
Its all very delicate when looking at how to generate sales and create loans without affecting our best players + looking at book values and FFP.
Leaving aside Harrison and Danjuma who aren't ours there is no one whose contract expires in 2024 that I want to retain.
Same again in 2025 save Branthwaite.

The interesting thing for me would be who we can sell of the 2024 group (now to Saudi or in Jan).
Also who of the 2025 group we can sell in Jan and 2024 summer.
Those moves could be crucial to bring in replacements for 2024 summer.
For 2025 we should have the stadium generating revenues and cashflow + increased revenue from the new broadcast deal.
So all of our efforts need to be going into the work next summer. Focus all our efforts in selling Gomes, Gray, Holgate, Keane, Godfrey and Maupay between now and inside next summers window.
Wages saved and fees could be invaluable.

Could you not have also said ‘no way we’re getting £15m for Gray’ or ‘Gomes for £17m to the Saudi league? You’re off your rocker!!’ lol
2024 I agree with you but think we will have to be pragmatic and I expect us to extend Coleman 1 year as cover and Doucs just because it will be too difficult otherwise.
2025 I would extend Branthwaite assuming he performs as we hope and DCL if he shows himself as fit (big if, I know).
extending contracts, getting in loans, bringing through kids really help FFP
