I appreciate this. And large areas of Aus do look stunning. But I'd be flying over the Alps, Caucases, Himalayas etc which are far more my cup of tea. I could also get all the above far closer to to home.

I must confess I have probably seen more of the UK & parts of Europe than I have of my own country.

I love the UK.

Same, I've spent about 8 months in total I reckon in UK and Europe and haven't seen much of this country at all. It doesn't interest me 1 bit tbh. Its only since we had kids our holidays have become crappy local ones.

Has done pretty well for a nation based on convicts. Better reputation than the US which is based more on losers who wanted a fresh start without riles, rather than crooks.

Like the Aussies' laid back style snd laconic humour very much. I do wish they'd stop cheating at sport though.

Well yes. But I'd have this (heinous personality) trait over the US personality trait of exorcising one's frustrations by emptying an automatic weapon at a primary school, any day.

Kiama is a nice place though - it's getting very touristy however
