If you've had the vaccine fella, why would you be worried about one or two people in the country not having had it? You may enjoy this overreach now, but the next steps forward are not ones you'll enjoy, and they will come because the precedent is being set now.

Not true. If I own a shop, I can refuse you entry for any reason I want.

I can't be barred from entry to pubs because I have a phone. This creates a system where you can now be barred entry to the pub. It's currently illegal to monitor people in such a manner regardless of whether they do it or not, this now legalises and encourages it.

Do you use cash every time? If not, you are already being tracked, and the eftpos machine can alert the staff you are barred.
Do you always have bluetooth turned off on your phone? If not, you can easily be tracked and the staff can be alerted that you are barred.

So why does the govt need a covid passport to do what they already can do?

And you believe them? Because they haven't said exactly this before? They said that passports would be a red line in the sand, won't do them under any circumstances, yet here we are.

True, there are anti discrimination laws. So technically not for any reason.
However if I want to bar you from my shop, I can just say you are barred without giving you a reason. If you kick up a fuss I will then say you are barred for being disruptive.

Tracking is the less important thing. The way more concerning thing is the carrot and stick approach to being able to have your rights.
Also this is nothing like that, any random pub won't be tracking your phone and barring your entry at the moment, whereas with this new passport system, every one will be required to make that decision upon entry based on whether the government sees you as worthy of entering a pub.

He can definitely refuse entry if you're not wearing a mask, and as the owner he makes masks mandatory.

Honest to god, the absolute state of people. How is it different to "no trainers in the club." Does that have people wailing about discrimination and a police state?
