Survived the onslaught after the goal at least.

Sams old faffing around at the back though.

Naismith seems to be playing very deep - it's almost a 4-3-3 at times.

All that matters here is the scoreline. A meh performance will do as long as we win which would boost confidence for the games ahead.

Just read the above moans..and Chris Kamara has just said on SSN...' Everton defence has been much better organised than lately and the midfield five have chased and tackled everything to gain control, with Lukaku running for everything up front...best Everton performance for some time'
You couldn't make it up could you? Its all about opinions, thank gawd !!
Apart from the first few mins I agree.

Seems a bit harsh all these comments, think we've done okay given our recent results. Who wouldn't take 1-0 away at Palace at the half? One cleared off the line and a decent Joel save apart they haven't really threatened. Happy with that half me, just gotta finish the job.

We're still a bit narrow at times allowing them to expose our flanks (especially Coleman) and I realise Baines got hurt and took a while to shake it off. Besides that we are as good as matching them for trying to hustle in the middle and some nice touches and quick thinking have seen our quality show.

Significant improvement, albeit for 49 minutes. The Besic run twist turn spin and pass to Naismith was marvelous. They look more composed on set pieces (natural really) and they've had more, excellent save with his neck by Robles that allowed Jagi-elka time to hook it clear. Like how Robles was explaining about elbows to the ref as Chamalk was being stretchered off. Think that might be a fractured cheek - I hope not for his sake but a broken nose aint no walk in the park either.

Up the tempo, and grind their legs into dust, if we get another one or two of their heads may drop. Half way towards a vital win. Foot on the gas blue boys!!!

Jags and Barry are good. Don't let the early judgement betray You: they are good. Mirallas on the other hand seems just like someone who doesn't care at all. 100X times a Naismith who passes poorly but cares.
