lol...no mate, I just enjoy this forum for getting things off my chest. Sorry if it's a bit painful...but...
oh, and btw: I have just viewed the Chelski WBA game. If anyone thinks that big money has not bought and paid for how the EPL functions, that penalty decision should disabuse you of any contrary notion.
 
This season was always going to be a difficult one

A new manger coming in and trying to change the style of play that has been ingrained into the side over 11 years

He needs time to move on players and bring in people he thinks can play his style of football, Players who can see a pass and move it around quickly

Yesterday was a really really poor performance but he's still finding his best 11 and learning about the players he has, Lets remember he's only been at the club for 6 months

Another thought, the last 2 games we've started with a midfield of Barry, McCarthy, Osman, Pienaar and Mirallas. The last 2 games Lukaku has struggled. I think he needs Barkley because he drives forward through the middle and they can play off eachother and create space. I think Barkley should start the derby ahead of Osman and give Pienaar and Mirallas more freedom to swap wings throughout. I can see Osman starting though because he has more experience.
 
Angst is ok, it's what we joined up for. Plenty of good common sense analysis by various lids...we hope that Bobby knows not only the problems we can see ( and some we can't ) but also the solutions.

IMO the solution is bodies out ( easy ) bodies in though is a cash related solution
And there my lie a problem 1 player or so in a season ala Moyes just isn't quick enough.
5 or 6 yrs down the line the first guy in is too old and we're still pieces short in the puzzle

Hmm, that is a pretty big statement mate.

Gotta be careful with finger-pointing and such stuff, etc...
 
Reflecting on yesterday, one problem i see is Miralles and peanuts play to wide. Bring them infield 5 or 10 yards and play a proper 3 behind a striker. There the two that can make things happens and play the little balls through to lukaku, thereto isolated hugging the touch line.
 

We have always been a team that can not drive home an advantage - my older Brother remembers the Billy Bingham manger ship in one season we were nailed on favourites to win the title when it was 2pts for a win and in the last remaining fixtures had to play Carlisle United who got finally relegated, and got beat home and away in the run in for the title it cost us the title, I think the home game we were 2-0 up and still got beat!

Thats a good point. I think Martinez if he could would replace maybe 5 of the first team and a couple more of the squad but we can't afford that all in one or two windows. The quality in this squad is good enough to stay above the rest of the best I think but if aiming to at least push higher we need more. The priority, despite individual players everybody might roar for, is that Bobby gets the players in he feels will work with his tactics.
 
Had either of Osman's shot's in the 1st half found the target then it would have been a different game. As in life small margins between winners and nearly winners.

We need a winner amongst the ranks, someone who can grab a game by the scruff of the neck and force a victory out of a poor performance.
