….it’s all ok to a point but after failing to score in that first 20mins it was inevitable what would happen because we defend so poorly. We defend poorly because we have a number of poor defenders who continually find themselves in no-man’s land unable to affect the game.

It’s not what they do, it’s what they don’t do or are physically incapable of doing. The concern is they continue to be selected.
Those 2 goals encapsulate our failings all season, fail to block movement on set pieces or allow opposition free run from half way when we lose the ball. Correct we somehow need to find proper defenders.

Watch this second half and you will see exactly what I mean. Good teams know what they are doing with the ball, where people are going to be. Our midfield should constantly be showing for the ball when it's down one side of the pitch. We just have giant gaps wherever the ball is and when we don't , the players are compact to each other, playing to the defence rather than through them.

Gordon and gray should be the ones getting the ball in the final third, not Coleman. They should know where richarlison wants it playing and then running off the shoulder.

These players just don't have that in them. The entire 9 outfield players should be trying to give the ball to richarlison when they attack and using the wingers to get in behind. Watch us when we attack, we do neither and wonder why we can't create anything. It's just running into a back 4 without ever looking to cause issues.

Absolutely.

Said before, Richy should really be dropping away from the defence to get the ball and allowing players to get in behind rather than getting into a tussle with them.

At least it shatters the illusion that a last minute win over Newcastle is somehow a turning point. This team will continue to let everyone down because most of them aren't good enough for a Premier League team who wants to win things (or even just not be fighting relegation) and mentality they've been incredibly poor for years, if we were stuck with them in the Championship we'd never get out of it.

I was happy with the win on Thursday, but let’s be honest, we were absolute [Poor language removed] and got lucky one of our players turned up in the 99th minute. No turning point, just more desperation played out. Embarrassing what’s happened to the club.

If that was the buildup to the second goal then i completely blame the goal on Gray for not being in the refs face and kicking up a stink when it went in

Playing a back five for us isn't being for stable or secure, it's like why If defenders are our worst players do you want more of them on the pitch
