If you can't defend you don't win games, and we cannot defend - story of the season.

Palace don't deserve it tbh, but they stayed in the game by being organised and compact (everything we are not) when we were on top and then took 2 of their 3 great chances - the defending on corners is just stupid.

The inury proper did us, as we knew it would.

Even when we were on top we didn't look like threatening at all. The problem with this system is it's packed with defenders who can't get forward and influence attack. Actually, they can't even defend either.
Watch this second half and you will see exactly what I mean. Good teams know what they are doing with the ball, where people are going to be. Our midfield should constantly be showing for the ball when it's down one side of the pitch. We just have giant gaps wherever the ball is and when we don't , the players are compact to each other, playing to the defence rather than through them.

Gordon and gray should be the ones getting the ball in the final third, not Coleman. They should know where richarlison wants it playing and then running off the shoulder.

These players just don't have that in them. The entire 9 outfield players should be trying to give the ball to richarlison when they attack and using the wingers to get in behind. Watch us when we attack, we do neither and wonder why we can't create anything. It's just running into a back 4 without ever looking to cause issues.

They've been trying it for weeks now and they're getting worse at it. I have no idea why he's persisting with it when it's clearly not working. Worrying stuff.
Always seem to be on their heels - reacting too late. Confidence maybe, lack of talent maybe but if it's not sorted sharpish, we're going down.

It's a perfect storm for relegation and the unwillingness to recognise how bad lampard is doing is compounding us to go down.

Yes we need to stick with a manager at some point but this one is clearly the wrong one.

Gordon as a lwb. Didn’t take too long for Frank Lampard to lose his marbles.

Just need to keep it as simple as possible with these players.
