I can't speak for other members but what bothered me about the Niasse incident is that the panel stated that he had been fouled but that he had exaggerated. If memory serves there was only one other player who received a retro-active ban for simulation. Can't remember who it was.

And as we all know, no other players dived or exaggerated at the time or have done since then.
Lanzini of West Ham

We defo rode our luck a bit yesterday, about time if you ask me. But that said, I can't really remember them having any gilt edge chances? Even their goals were a pen and a horrendous mistake by Tarkowski.

We defo need to do better alleviating pressure with some sustained periods of possession, but I never felt their 2nd goal was coming despite the pressure.
I thought their 2nd goal was coming. It was wave after wave of pressure, nearly the whole Everton team were defending the 18 yard box for long periods of time.

Really is a dog poo stand and view. Needs condemning. Relegate Palace until they fix it.

Its a nice ground but comfortably the worst for away fans - coaches stuck for ages before and after, away end misses loads of the pitch, and its genuinely dangerous getting in and around the concourse

Three points always makes it better

These are the player ratings from the game given in an online article by Goodison News (I know). Anyone agree with them?

Vitaliy Mykolenko – 8

Jack Harrison – 7

James Garner – 6

Amadou Onana – 4
(Off for Idrissa Gueye ’46)

Dwight McNeil – 5

Abdoulaye Doucoure – 7

Dominic Calvert-Lewin – 4
(Off for Beto ’77)

Substitutes

Idrissa Gueye (On for Amadou Onana 46′)8

Beto (On for Dominic Calvert-Lewin 77′) – 5

Nathan Patterson (On for Ashley Young 90′) – N/A

Not for me, Jeff. Branners got schooled, twice. Guess he’s human after all!
I have to agree, we dodged a bullet there with the second (non) pen, I’d have been fuming if that had been us and we didn’t get it. If the FA hate us as much as some on here think, that was the perfect opportunity for VAR to overturn the ref’s onfield decision, but they didn’t.

Stevie Wonder rating players as well as doing VAR now.

We had a bad start to the season but are now picking up, got to ask ourselves how many points would we have if we had Lampard in charge? Btw why did DCL go off ?
Quite right. Though i'd say the start was unlucky, rather than outright bad. We should have won those matches on performance alone, regardless of them being 'lesser' outfits.

View attachment 234990 Mate, I’ve already said no one should dive no matter how good. I’ve seen both Eze incidents now. I would say there was contact in both. He might have stayed on his feet after the contact for the first one but the chance was gone by then so he went over. He definitely could have stayed on his feet for the second one. You berating Eze while defending Niasse is ridiculous. You’re either against diving or you’re not.

So you've not looked at the niasse incident then?
I'm not arguing if it was a foul or not, that's 50/50 in my opinion...
My argument is that it wasn't a dive and therefore shouldn't have been a ban...

Anyway I think there's an element of lost in translation over the Internet here...

Eze is a top player and we both agree that he should cut out the diving....
(Personally I despise how play acting has almost become accepted as the norm these days )
