As ForestBlue said you have to assume its straight until proven otherwise, but my god that does seem a bit odd....

Pog hammers the whole field by over a minute, then Jonas beats him by nearly 2??
A guy who's never won a top level ITT!

It's a shame because I might just have witnessed one of the all time great sporting performances, but I've just tutted cynically 😐

He was over 10% faster than everyone from 3rd down. This is a sport where they spend huge effort trying to get 1% differentials. I'm prepared to be corrected, but I don't think anyone has produced such a crushing performance in a Tour time trial. Not Indurain, Ullrich, Armstrong. Even noted specialists like Cancellara have never been so dominant. Go to any elite sport and see if you find people being 10% faster than the 3rd best competitor. It literally never happens.

I'll add something else into the cynical pot and thats Jonas didn't exactly looked goosed for very long when he stopped. In fact I've looked much worse and more out of breath for longer just arriving back home from my local shops.

I'll continue to believe what I'm seeing is 100% right though and on that note I'm still happy to say what a ride I just witnessed. Fingers crossed all is well!

I'm going top shelf first, Bolt 9.58 in Berlin, trying to find third place, and I just know there's a swimming record out there that stinks. Also there's a soviet German era womens running record that is acknowledged as a bad one.
Asafa Powell 9.84 third place. 0.26 seconds difference. 0.26 is 2.71% of Bolts time, is 2.64% of Powell's time.

I looked at the Czech woman who got the 400m record that still stands and she was about 3.5% faster than 3rd place. I dread to think what the time gap is between 1st and last on the stage today.
