Alto de L'Angliru is a steep mountain road in Asturias, near La Vega-Riosa, in northern Spain. It is considered one of the most demanding climbs in professional road bicycle racing and is often used in the Vuelta a España stage race.

Just south of (our very own Bryan) Oviedo. Oviedo is the capital city of the Principality of Asturias in northern Spain.
That was bloody hard. A relentless grind with practically no respite at all. Made it without stopping though, bar the once due to a cow-related traffic jam.

Josh Tarling won the European TT this week - great win and lad is on track to dominate this discipline. The event was marred by a terrible crash from Stefan Kung - fortunately he is not severely injured, although still very banged up with a concussion and fractured hand.

It was close to the end so he got back on and finished like a warrior (absolute state of his helmet), but there's no way he should have been allowed to climb back on. Bigger picture is he crashed because he had his head down and wasn't looking where he was riding, because it's faster. Endemic problem at pro and amateur level.
